  1. Thanks for the link. ATF needs to burn.
  2. Well, I agree, and that could easily be step one in the process - guarantee those who paid in get exactly what they paid in - no more, no less. Those that didn't pay - no soup for you! Combine that with a move towards ending SS and you'd have a winner.
  3. I don't think that's what he meant...
  4. I've not even held one yet, but I'd sure like to. I really like my P3AT but this is a completely different league... Let us know how it shoots!
  5. I el-oh-el'd.
  6. POint is, either way, some people aren't going to get SS. It's unsustainable. It sucks, yah, even though I'm not as old as some, I've paid a metric-buttload into the system, but from day one I've understood it wasn't going to be there when I retired and made plans accordingly. I mean, it's not like if the US government defaults you'll keep getting SS checks... Either way, SS will have to go away or be massively redesigned in the next few years. I'd rather it just go away, personally.
  7. Yah, and? It needs to be done. Or would you rather see the government just default? Either way, SS will collapse.
  8. And I'm under 40. I'd go with under 50 as well, though that gives some folks little time to deal with it.
  9. Wow, I wanna see that interview.
  10. Umm, ok, what do I care about the marxist ideas of another state's governor? My idea? Tell everyone over age 40 "you aren't going to see a dime" and raise the age where one receives benefits to at least 70. Work to end the program, that's the solution. More government is not the answer. The answer is NOT penalizing, even more than the system already does, those who have been successful.
  11. How very marxist of you.
  12. Well, sorta. Depending on how you live, you may well draw more than you paid in.
  13. SS is a ponzi scheme. I've paid a lot into it over the years but would gladly forgo ever receiving a penny if the government got out of the unconstitutional retirement business they're in.
  14. While I agree with the decision, I also feel it would be a shame if those people were made into martyrs. A real shame.
  15. Wow, Rabbi's shop...
  16. Beat me by a minute...
  17. Could you go back and forth with this or once you convert it to a carbine are you stuck with the carbine? Still love my Sub2ooo...
  18. No offense, but I think maybe you watch too many TV / movies. If the bad guy was moving at all, or behind any sort of cover, even an experienced shooter would have a difficult time hitting him. And besides, the goal is to stop the threat. I'd say he succeeded flawlessly.

  20. Absolutely the truth - nothing shows how well you understand something and helps you grasp it better than teaching someone else. We homeschool our kids and one of the ways we ensure they understand something is have them 'teach it back to us'. It benefits your children more than you probably know...

  22. That's a crazy looking gun, let us know how it shoots.
  23. Silver Bear isn't bad stuff at all. Ran close to 1500 rounds through my AR without cleaning it, zero issues. For long term storage, hard to beat an ammo can with a good seal.
  24. I guess you've not seen the video where the jewelry store owner dies after being shot repeatedly while trying to rack his slide. To each his own, but I can't imagine carrying without one in the chamber.
  25. I generally redirect dropped objects with my foot to avoid the impact trauma. Can't envision this causing a firearm to somehow fire.
