Nah, it has way more to do with the fight in the man than the caliber. Handguns are a compromise, no way around it.

I understand what you are saying - I made that point for a different purpose. That said, yes, if there is a 'disparity of force' (healthy vs disabled, group vs person, male(s) vs female), I'm nearly certain TN law allows for use of deadly force.

Well, yah, of course. I'm not one to get caught up in that sort of immature crap to begin with, on top of the fact I always carry.

It really doesn't matter how healthy you are - one shot to the right spot with the right force can knock anyone out temporarily, which is all it takes to fall and strike your head on something hard enough to kill you. I can handle myself, but if someone attacks me I'm not waiting to see if they're armed or are able to beat me down.

Assuming the story is real, it sure sounds a lot like premeditated murder. Who would 'return fire' at their 13 year old they were teaching?

In my particular industry, FB is somewhat of a necessity now - many of my clients use it to communicate with me. My friends list is bloated, but I also don't post personal info on it - I use it as an extension of my business marketing for the most part. I have posted a few gun photos, but frankly, if any of my friends are offended by that, they aren't really friends of mine so I couldn't care less. I do love these threads though, they're humorous.

I've never used one, but have heard generally good things about them. Sadly, most of us suspect it's only a matter of time before the ATF rules them as a 'machine gun' part.
