  1. Wondering how multitouch (doesn't) work(s) on older Macbooks like mine.
  2. In multiple ways, yes.
  3. Sorry to hear about your leg, OS. (sorry, had to)
  4. Never understood why the 2A is so hard for politicians to understand. They need a task force, really? How about just respecting the Bill of Rights? Flippin' politicians, they're all the same - make it more complex so there are more people to blame while you're screwing them.
  5. I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count...
  6. Yep, I don't own a domestic right now, but if I ever buy domestic again, it will ONLY be Ford.
  7. It came out a year or two ago that the ATF was keeping the BG checks on file for new purchases. Nothing ever came of that. To assume the ATF / FBI / whatever agency isn't keeping the NICS info is a bit naive, methinks, regardless of the law. The reality is, registration doesn't happen until they stop private sales.
  8. Man, thanks for posting this, I didn't know when this was happening. Gonna take the chirruns and have a blast - and since it's in mid-Sept, it shouldn't be deathly hot...
  9. Yah, I buy the smallest screen i can get that has the performance I need / want. My current Macbook has a 13" screen - just right, imo.
  10. To be fair, AppleCare covers most everything, and while they say they don't cover spills, they repaired my Macbook under AppleCare after I spilled a full Taddy Porter into it...
  11. With Macs you pay for other things than the hardware - basically all-in-one customer service that's based here in the US and (imo) a superior OS. Software upgrades are cheap (the new version of OSX will be $29/license) and ime, the systems generally just work better. I'd recommend trying a Mac out if you can and see what you think. Most everyone I've ever known that bought a Mac absolutely loved it. ETA: oh, and after three years, you'll be able to sell your Macbook for about half of what you pay for it new. the resale value is great with Mac computers.
  12. I guess I missed your sarcasm above - it came across to me as if you were taking it seriously. No idea what you mean re: Snopes.
  13. You guys are aware that it's fake, right?
  14. Round two of P90x here, still loving it. My body has responded nicely - still would like to lose about 10# of body fat but I'm pretty trim and my muscular development has come back nicely despite not lifting for quite some time.
  15. Well, I figured that's where you'd land - you agree they're all compromises, so it's simply a matter of where one decides to draw the line... There's a word for calling people out for something while you do the same thing - hypocrisy.
  16. Yep.
  17. Oh, I'm not on the defensive, just curious as to what you carry as you always say the same things in caliber discussions. Since compromise isn't part of your vocabulary, I'm curious as to what you chose. The very fact that you won't say leads me to believe that you have indeed compromised and carry some sort of standard pistol cartridge... And yah, as all handgun cartridges are a compromise, I've very comfortable with what I carry.
  18. Yah, I saw that, just curious. Since you're unwilling to take any chances with your personal safety (utilizing the relatively weak pistol cartridges), you obviously have chosen a rifle caliber for its stopping power. I'm assuming you went for the Ak pistol, but the AR might make sense, too.
  19. So which do you carry - an AR or AK pistol?
  20. Yah, honestly, that would be the beginning of the end, imo. If they can get that passed, registration is essentially in effect.
  21. Sure, but since they're not suing for money, I doubt we'd see a settlement. Case dismissal? Possibly, time will tell...
  22. As long as person-person sales are still legal, there is no gun registration. IIRC, the ATF already keeps tabs on sales, despite the law which forbids them to do.
  23. Great news, I sure hope they move forward with this!
  24. Thanks for the clarification, makes more sense...
