  1. Apple isn't charmed - Steve jobs is. I mean, he got fired from Apple, the company he started with Woz, so he started his own company, NeXT, which Apple ended up buying back from him for hundreds of millions of dollars. He also started a little company called Pixar after he was fired from Apple and via the successes they've had is now the largest single shareholder of Disney stock (some 7% of the company). He almost literally has the Midas touch. Those who think Apple will continue to have the same success without him are fooling themselves.
  2. Congrats!
  3. If you'll have me, I'd like to meet with you guys.
  4. I'm betting this is all media hype... PANIC! RUN AROUND SCREAMING BUT MAKE SURE YOU WATCH THIS STATION! We'll see, but this isn't Katrina...
  5. I tried it for a few weeks in the first season and found it unwatchable - they strike me as idiots with ZERO engineering experience cobbling stuff together. It's too bad, show like this had potential.
  6. And 'to' instead of 'too'. You're attention too detail is a bit lose. But yah, no problem, you're welcome. Glad I could be of service. Broad generalizations are awesome.
  7. Individual decisions don't determine what is 'game changing' - it's what makes the general public move. Jobs did that, even if some individuals rejected his vision... One of my all-time favorite speeches was by Jobs: Text of Steve Jobs' Commencement address (2005)
  8. We generally do have a chip on our shoulder regarding awful spelling. That said, in all seriousness, we're just a bunch of criminals and/or helpless victims who wish we could live elsewhere.
  9. Come on, man, keep your hopes up for the trifecta!

  11. Yah, it's a real catch-22 - devaluation of the dollar inherently weakens the economy, which directly hurts tax revenue, yet it's the only option to try to avoid default. Granted, unless we curb the out-of-control spending we've seen over the last 10 years, it really doesn't matter.
  12. Which is why more and more people are investing in PMs. Gold's 'price increase' is not just demand related - it's a great example of the devaluation of the US currency via inflation (aka quantitative easing).
  13. The US government still hasn't defaulted on bond payments, so while the long term outlook isn't good, as a short term parking spot for your wealth it's a good idea. PMs are also a good idea - not as an investment, but for protection of wealth against the devaluation of the dollar...
  14. This one is good, too:
  15. haha, that's awesome.
  16. Probably best, gun control generalizations based on emotion don't stand up to factual discussions very well.
  17. If they've served their time, why shouldn't they have the right to defend themselves?
  18. Yah, that's pretty obvious. God forbid people be free and we follow the COTUS as it's written.
  19. A right isn't something granted by the state. That's a privilege. I agree with OS -there should be no permit required, no minimum standard. What part of 'shall not be infringed' makes this difficult to understand for some folks?
  20. *nightmares*
  21. Haven't read the article, won't. I've said it before - any freak that hurts a child should be given to a volunteer with a few select tools (pliers, blowtorch, ball peen hammer) for a few hours before finishing them off.
  22. I missed this initially and actually read about it on another forum - that's awesome, Fallguy! While I doubt I'll be in Washington anytime soon, I'm really impressed by your efforts - thank you!
  23. 1:1 Do it, you'll love it. It's a fun little rifle.
