That's not the point. From 2003 until it was vacated, LSU fans claimed it didn't count, only the BCS did. If they claim the AP title now - should they lose and be awarded it - it would be the height of hypocrisy. But once again, I don't think it will happen - whoever wins Monday will likely win both. Frankly, the AP doesn't really matter anymore, so I doubt anyone will care either way.

Actually, as LSU fans don't recognize USC's AP national championship from 2003, it would be tough for them to argue that the 2011 AP championship has meaning. FWIW, I've not met a single Bama fan who cares at all if the AP splits from the BCS - the crystal football is all that matters now. That said, I think the winner Monday gets both. RTR.

It's not that unusual - she bought property worth $12M and razed the old house. A decent investment banker would allow her to yield close to that much annually in interest on the $110m principle alone. And yes, the lot was worth most of that $12M - it's ocean front property in Palm Beach. Call her crazy if you want, but she just did more to create jobs (razing and rebuilding a multi-million dollar home) than anyone in DC has done in years...

It's been done over and over worldwide. And yah, I think it would cause a huge stink if they did it tomorrow, but like everything else, they'll do it in steps. And they WILL try to do it. Whether or not there are enough folks left like those here who would refuse will be what determines the outcome.

They'd just do it like they did in England - mandatory gun turn in and incredibly stiff penalties for owning one. They wouldn't have to go door to door. 95%+ of gun owners would dutifully turn their guns in.

I've still not found a CFL or LED that had the quality of light (to my light sensitive eyes) as a good incandescent. It's beyond ludicrous that our federal government thinks they should be able to regulate what sort of bulb I choose to use. I yah, I've stocked up with incans. Screw 'em, I'm going to enjoy good quality light.
