  1. http://milliongunownermarch.com/ Still early in planning, but I'm there.
  2. I've ordered (over the net) from ATG a few time with zero issues, even during the recent post-election crunch. Good company, good communication, zero complaints.
  3. It's true they have to have SSNs to be claimed as dependents, but it's still optional: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showpost.php?p=223776&postcount=23
  4. Fantastic, thanks! I'll read through these a few times then be back with more questions.
  5. Congrats, nice EBR!
  6. Wrong. http://www.ssa.gov/pubs/10023.html Must my child have a Social Security number? No. Getting a Social Security number for your newborn is voluntary. But, it is a good idea to get a number when your child is born. You can apply for a Social Security number for your baby when you apply for your baby’s birth certificate. The state agency that issues birth certificates will share your child’s information with us and we will mail the Social Security card to you. If you wait to apply at a Social Security office, you must show us proof of your child’s U.S. citizenship, age and identity, as well as proof of your own identity. We must verify your child’s birth record, which can add up to 12 weeks to the time it takes to issue a card. To verify a birth certificate, Social Security will contact the office that issued it. We do this verification to prevent people from using fraudulent birth records to obtain Social Security numbers to establish false identities.

  9. It's amazing you can't find stuff like that in the classifieds in Memfrica.
  10. Hahahaha, fantastic update.
  11. Not saying you can, but it's still optional at the hospital. All my kids have SSN's.
  12. They offer it, but it's still optional.
  13. "No problem, my first child's SSN is 123-45-6789..."
  14. Here it is: I don't know anything about reloading, but that's impressive!
  15. Well played, sir!
  16. I hope you made an insulting remark, embarrassing him in front of everybody - the last thing we need is more people to become gun owners! Especially middle-aged people! </sarcasm>
  17. No doubt - I'm soooo glad I ordered 10 of them six months before I bought my AR!
  18. Man, you guys are in my prayers. Trust me when I say that while I never knew your wife's grandfather, he was one of the most highly respected man ever, imo. I'm thankful people like him lived here and so righteously represented this great country.
  19. Hahaha, ok, in some cases ammo will be cheaper in the future...
  20. ... unless you want to hear the truth.
  21. What's a good book to pick up so I can learn the basics of reloading? I've never done it at all and am completely unfamiliar with the process but am interested in getting into it. Any help appreciated!
  22. I know absolutely NOTHING about reloading but would like to get into it (for .40 and .223). I envy the time you get at the bench...
  23. I got some freebies from the label and sold them for $450 on ebay. I was actually surprised at the demand...
  24. This is huge.
  25. AFAIC it's a balancing act between perceived need and practicality. So most of the time, in the area I live in (no violent crime to speak of), I simply carry my normal gun with 9 rounds in it (I keep two more loaded mags in my truck). Should I feel like I might need more (depending on the are I'm in), I'll grab a mag or two and carry with me, though that's very, very rare. Sure, I know I'm not clairvoyant, but I think I have to be practical in my daily life. No point in gearing up like I'm storming Fallujah to run to the grocery store. I hope my decision doesn't come back to bite me, but I'm currently comfortable with my decisions.
