  1. No need to flame, but the 10A has been a non-issue since 1865. They've made some crazy decisions over the years, but I don't see how the SCOTUS could side with the feds regulating intrastate commerce...
  2. Yep, clean bill, no restrictions.
  3. They may fight it, but I have a hard time believing the SCOTUS would support the ATF if they fight it...
  4. Turner's an idiot, I can't stand these guys who try to twist stuff based on their own ignorance...
  5. Friggen stupid Memphians.
  6. Mac card wouldn't be necessary with that one, musicman!
  7. It's not about secession - it's about affirming our rights. I see it as an extension of the Tea Parties - an attempt to let the fed gov know they've overstepped their bounds for too long. It will take baby steps to move back to where we're supposed to be - I suppose you'd prefer us just continue to allow the feds to waste more and more money and reduce our rights further?
  8. IMO, it's the first step towards reviving the 10th Amendment. If enough states are willing to grow a pair and tell the feds to back off, we may see some real change wrt the abuse of power we've seen for the last 100+ from the feds... A constitutional America is a good thing.
  9. This is great news - contact your representatives and Bredesen's office and let them know you support this action!
  10. It looks as if a bill has been proposed that is similar to the one Montana recently made into law and is passing through the Texas legislature now. Yes, it could allow full-auto, but the state of TN would have to pass the bill into law and without that provision. Montana, for example, passed their Firearms Act into law but it precludes automatic weapons, even if they are manufactured and sold within the state's borders. I sincerely doubt our legislators would pass this into law without that provision. Heck, I have my doubts that our legislators have the balls to pass it with that provision, but I hope they will. It's about time the state-level politicians realized that they have MORE power than their federal counterparts...
  11. *raises hand* Sometimes I'll just use 33dBnr plugs when outdoors, but typically I use both.
  12. 22db is not nearly enough protection to avoid long-term damage, you need at least 30dB of reduction. The average gunshot is around 150dB, and anything above 120dB causes immediate damage. 33dB is about the best you can get, but avoid anything less than 30dB like th eplague if you value your hearing...
  13. I don't need to buy guns as the government will protect me.
  14. As I absolutely thrive upon being pedantic, I'll throw in that as long as you get a return >0.0 you will always have something left. But yeah, you're totally right - they whittle away at our rights a little bit at a time until there isn't enough left to protect ourselves. We have to fight them every step of the way...
  15. ah geeeezsh..... Just trying to have some fun. Note the double-negative...
  16. Great quote, thanks.
  17. Fine, just send it over to me...
  18. Actually, they're all pretty much evil, there are just a few that are less evil than others...
  19. Still @ 70% Y, 30% N...
  20. Yah, I was mistaken, sorry. Confused filibuster-proof majority (60 votes) with ratification votes (67 votes)...
  21. All I know is that now that Arlen Specter switched parties, assuming all 60 Dems vote as Obama wishes, he can ratify any treaty he wants with no way for the Repubs/Indies to stop the proceedings via filibuster... Makes me a little nervous.
  22. Fallguy (and others), thank for all the updates for those of us who haven't been able to watch it roll out today! *fingers crossed*
  23. Now it just needs to get past the Senate, correct? BIG victory, imo.
