  1. Simo Hayha was the real deal - any time your enemy comes up with a name like 'white death', you know you've got a god combo. And he only used the iron sights on his Mosin, to boot. Still need to pick up a good MN...
  2. Yer killing me with your avatar - it's almost exactly like truthsayer's... Anyway, look for generally over-priced guns and ammo, with an occasional deal on used firearms. Also keep an eye out for the 'handgun carry permit badges' which are rather fun to witness in person.
  3. Sounds like he got a great set of grandparents!

    New Ruger AR

It's all about the dollars, I guarantee it.
  5. Yep, agree 100%

You think the three 30 round Magpul mags that come with it have block sto limit them to 10 rounds each?
  7. Blackburn will get my vote regardless of what she's running for.
  8. Alexander crossed the line with his TARP voting, but now he's made an enemy for his next election.
  9. BTW, they don't ask for your name when you call, so you can call and email...
  10. Absolutely - without question! Plus, alcohol sales typically lead to higher sales above and beyond the alcohol.
  11. Don't forget the taxes restaurants pay for liquor. In Florida, a normal 750ml bottle of whiskey costs a restaurant close to $100 as they have to pay tax on the liquor up front (per oz).
  12. Personally, I like the area that I live in, which is in Shelby County a decent bit away from Memphis - nice, quiet town but I have access to the convenience of the city as needed. For me, the prospect of moving my business and family is daunting, to say the least. I started my business here as I couldn't afford the start-up costs combined with moving. Would I prefer living in central TN? Eh, doubt it. At the end of the day, Memphis sucks and I'm glad to be out of it, but living near it isn't bad...
  13. Yah, I was referring to my Mossberg 500. My Glocks have no external safeties, either.
  14. I'd rather not divulge my location or what I'm carrying - I'll keep one in the chamber with the safety on. If they have really good ears, they might hear the trigger being squeezed...
  15. I think that's what it will take. So be it, it's still a state's decision, imo.
  16. Well, the one thing we have to think about is exactly who will be manufacturing / selling the products. I highly doubt the ATF will allow one to keep a dealer or manufacturer FFL if they start doing this in the local level. To use Hero Gear as an example, do you think Joe would be willing to risk his FFL, meaning he could no longer sell anything not manufactured in the state of TN, just to sell some extra suppressors? Do you think a manufacturer would be willing to manufacture products only sold in TN (as I doubt the ATF would let their FFL stay active to sell outside of the state)? I think that when / if this passes there will be a rough period watching things shake down. The ATF won't allow this to go quietly, regardless of the legality of their actions.
  17. Killer, thanks for the clarification, Jay.

  19. By all accounts, the majority of colonists during the revolution were torries... Point is, it's not what the majority is ready to do, but what the few active folks are willing to give up to accomplish their goals. Remember, we're a republic, and while we've strayed from that in many ways with our modern democratic approach to everything, the reality is a few active folks can accomplish quite a bit. This is a baby step, meaningless in and of itself, but it's also a display of an attitude that's long been dormant in this country. This could signal an awakening or simply be another ripple in our allowance of the federal government's growth. I prefer to be optimistic, realizing that our representatives wouldn't have 'wasted their time' in this effort if they didn't believe it was our right and what their constituents want.
  20. Thanks, Fallguy. I just finished emailing another apology to Ron Lollar for the email i sent him frustrated with his vote of non-concurrence. These guys do indeed (occasionally) play the game very, very well...

    VE Day + 64

Sadly, there's zero coverage of this sort of thing in the news anymore. Such an important day in the history of humanity and no mention of it anywhere...
  23. Sadly, I think that was taken from 1999, when Repubs held the majority in both the House and Senate...
