Yah. I don't want to spoil anything for someone who isn't current with the show, but tonight's episode really pushed Walt further away from the audience, so to speak. The arc of the story writing on this show - from a mild-mannered, likable guy who you feel sorry for and are even kind of pulling for despite his actions, to someone who is less and less likable (more and more hated by some viewers) each week - is simply remarkable.

Nah, it's not just the libertarians, it's most anyone that's not a hard-right thinker. You can't win an election without winning the independent votes, and the hard-right slant of the party over the last few years is driving them (us) away. -

And watch the party die. I think we're seeing that right now. -

I agree. So much for 'presidential', eh? Lesser of two evils, yay! -

I think you miss the point that many of us are tired of the same song and dance of voting for the lesser of two evils, which is still voting for 'evil'. We've been doing this for decades and what has it brought us? Nothing good. I know, I know, BHO is the devil incarnate and THIS election is THE MOST IMPORTANT EVAR. Like they all are. -

No one said otherwise, he will get the nomination. It reminds me of the elections behind the Iron Curtain. The repubs are twisting and distorting their own rules to make it look prettier - if they're willing to do this for image, what are they willing to do to get him in the WH? It's unnecessary, it's cheap, and it shows how desperate they are. It also shows how like the dems the repubs really are - do whatever it takes! -
Haha, there is no 'my way' - as long as his rights are respected I couldn't care less how it turns out. Even your straw men are entertaining. You definitely bring a (presumed) unintentional bit of humor to the forums, and for that I thank you.

Unpossible, guns are banned in NYC.

LOL, like any of us knew all the evidence when the story broke. Heck, we probably still don't. You guessed and got lucky, but I wouldn't expect you to admit that. No worries, I've no horse in the 'who guessed right or wrong' game here, I didn't weigh in on it. I just find your 'told you so' attitude amusing.
-
Sure, but as we know little about what was found (or not), until this happened we were just guessing. You guessed correctly, congrats. Those who were defending the action were going on as much info as you had - virtually nothing. Agreed.

If the repubs don't find this disturbing it shows we're completely lost. 'Forget the will of the voters, we'll keep changing the rules until the image is what we want it to be...' -
That's actually worse on the springs than leaving them loaded all the time. Granted, unless you do it often there's likely little difference, but static loads are ideal.

Just making the point that all this talk seems to have started from the far right after Obama was elected - in the eight years Bush was cramming us un the toilet no one seemed to mind too badly. Now I hear more talk than ever about an armed revolution. Seems like a load of sour grapes.

Interesting, I've got three different models of this design and haven't had an issue (this one is new, but I've had the Twitch XLs for years now with zero issues). ETA: of course, it could be that I simply don't use my knife as much as you. You might put more wear and tear on a knife in a week than i do in a year for all I know.
-
Well, better to wait to long than not long enough. I can't get the seeming lust some have to get into some sort of 'revolutionary war'. Too many video games and movies is all I can figure. What's so odd is how few of these conversations I heard amongst the conservatives and libertarians when Bush was in office. Not casting stones or suggesting anything (other than bias), but Bush did more to harm our liberties than Obama has. Whether it's the Patriot Act or rampant spending (including the bailouts / TARP), Bush set us on the path of destruction like no president in history, yet I never heard folks talking about 'the end of our way of life' or 'the end of American' when he was blowing our liberties and our future out of the water... Maybe I just didn't have my eyes open.
-
Are you suggesting that I'm walking about with my eyes closed because I don't think it's time to take up arms in revolution?
-
If you meant mine, then yeah, it locks. It also has an additional 'switch' that locks it open (in addition to the lock release) or closed. All the Twitches work like this, I really like them.

No idea, but I think I'll know it if I ever see it.

Just picked up this little SOG Twitch II the other day, nice little knife. Just big enough for daily use.
