  1. Hi ya'll may know about this already, I just found out last night. Lee & Tiffany have a live game video camera with night vision so it is 24/7. Here is the link. http://thecrush.tv/deer-cam     Early this morning 5:30-6:30 I saw several 8,9,10 point bucks, does and 4 spotted fawns.
  2. Tanker that picture isn't a 68 pickup, more like 62 or 63, we had a 66 and it had single headlights. As for the mystery car, I would guess the starting vehicle was a 63 ford galaxie, but just a guess. I remember buying 22lr at Western auto for $0.29 in '63 and nobody thought a thing about an 11 year old buying bullets. Now you got to be 18 or 21 to buy a knife, really!! Speaking of change, my wife's grandma was born late 1890's she saw the invention of automobile, airplane, man on the moon (if you actually believe it), the phone changed from party line to private to cell phone, the PC, Al I am stupid Gore's internet, 78records to 33 1/3, to 45's, then 4 track, 8 track, cassette, CD, blu tooth. How many of you had a 4 track then a 8 track? I had 4 track with a Jimi Hendrix tape.
  3. Much of this scheme was crafted back in Woodrow Wilson's era. I said it 25 years ago that the U.S. would become a 3rd world country because we don't make anything or very little anymore. It is difficult to find a shirt, hat, pair of pants or anything that is actually made here. It puts us on the wrong end of the stick to have all these imports and very little in exports. I still say No to drugs and the cane would FIX it in short order. I guarantee that kid that got caned for spray painting the car still remembers well that day he got caned because there are welts left that won't disappear and every time he scratches his butt, he remembers not to do that again!! I say NO to legalizing drugs!!
  4. There is a "war" on drugs just like I am a brain surgeon. And I'm not. I believe that if all drug dealers or users were caned like the kid that spray painted the car in Singapore years ago they would stop. I really believe that there should be no prisons, only small local jails and if you are convicted of say being a drug dealer that 10 or however many "you choose a number" of licks were given with a professional caner, I bet ya that you could drive an 18 wheeler of dope into his yard and the next thing he would do is call 911 for somebody to come get this out of his yard. There should be 2 forms of punishment. 1 caning and the 2nd hanging. If the 1st punishment doesn't solve the problem, the 2nd one surely would. I know that this may sound brutal to some, but it works. Look at the countries that cut off your hand for stealing, most of the time I bet 1 hand cut off solves that problem. Paul Harvey said it best that we had more percent of our population in prison, that in itself proves that it doesn't solve the problem, there is little to no punishment for the crimes being committed. Put them on a chain gang and let them make little rocks from big rocks, no A/C, no weight lifting, no basketball. If you want to act like animals, you shall be treated as such. Don't worry about overcrowding, use the old Army tents and barbed wire,
  5. Gas was $0.32 in high school, saw my dad buy it for $0.18 when I was about 10-12. I remember when Mickey Dee's had the golden arches and it was an outside only joint with some tables outside and they hadn't sold Billions then. I gladly remember pre cell phone days, ah yes!! The cell phone will be my first deletion of my pending retirement. I will tell all if you want me call the house and leave a message as I plan on fishing, shooting, hunting, and doing sumphin else!! Where did all the years go my friends?? I definitely would have taken better care of myself if I had known I would live this long. LOL
  6. I do know that there are these guys that buy to resell, but about a month ago I was at a Walmart in southern Alabama and was looking for a particular fishing lure, happened by the checkout and the lady asked if I wanted any 22's. Well I almost passed out, they had Thunderbolts in the 50pack bricks of 10 for $39.00 including tax. She said it was the FIRST bulk 22 ammo she had received in 5 months. I was browsing the net looking at reloading components and Midsouth had only 2 types of primers in stock, No 40 cal jacketed bullets, same thing at midway, and Natchez. I think going into bullet manufacturing would be a good business right now!!
  7. A little off topic, but a friend of mine used to shoot with Jerry and his brother years ago in Poplarville, Ms. and he said they would bring a 5 gal bucket full of .38's shoot a match and stay until they had shot them all, Jerry's brother would quit way before him. I have had the pleasure of shooting in 2 ICORE matches with Jerry. He is a down to earth fellow. And yes he could shoot factory ammo every day!!
  8. Prayer lifted brother.
  9. That my friend is why I am married, my wife would have put a stop to the skinny dipping real quick. Now I on the other hand, NO I am like bonedaddy, I am way too ugly for some gal to want to skinny dip in my pool, besides my pool is only a 6x10 inflatable for the grandkids!!
  10. Dang it boy, sorry to get ya started. I get it is Tn. fixing to be the new Kalifornia with all the darned rules and such? May have to rethink where I want to retire.
  11. Hi guys do just a few counties in Tn. require emissions testing of vehicles or am I misunderstanding? Thanks for the info. Mac
  12. That is way too organized and neat, you must have a cluttered work area so that it looks like all of the rest of us!! I think that much brass may also get you on some sort of list.
  13. Okay whitewolf enough of the writers block, get back in the game Maverick you can do it, come on Mav. You got us strung out here like a bunch of junkies waiting on our next fix.
  14. Good stuff, you have me hooked now get to writing and I mean NOW!!! Please
  15. Hey guys saw this and looked on Midway and they have these. Speer Hot-Cor Bullets 30 Caliber (308 Diameter) 130 Grain Flat Nose Box of 100 for $27.99 hope it helps somebody. Mac
  16. CZ, I will chime in with the others. I got into it when Clinton was in office, I decided then that reloading as a hobby and as a way to save was for me. I started out with a RCBS rockchucker and still have it, have done tons of ammo on it. I bought a used Dillon SDB on e-bay and it will load 300 rounds of most handgun calibers in 1 hour. My cost for .40 is less that $5.00 per 100 because I also cast my own lead bullets. Yes all of this takes time, but you know what I can go to the reloading room any day and crank out the ammo I need at a cost much less than you will pay IF you can find it. I don't worry about going to the range and shooting 2-300 rounds of ammo. Just this morning I shot 2 rounds of trap= 50 rounds, about 30 rounds of .223, 75+ rounds of .40, and 100 or so of .22lr. Of all that the .22lr was the only factory ammo I shot. But beware it is addictive. I almost like reloading as much as shooting, they go hand in hand. You MUST shoot your ammo so you can take that empty brass and reload it. You may not save any money at all, because you will shoot more, but that will make you a better marksman also.
  17. I may give some fat lighter away or trade for some tasty Morel mushrooms. I could be bribed by some great fishing spots or access to some nice place to drive my Kawasaki mule. Heck let's talk guys I am easy. It sure would be hard for me to have to buy fat lighter.
  18. Yeah but Garufu just think how bad you talk about them nuts in Washington. You wouldn't want us citizens talking like that about you. I think with 100 mil I could eake out a living in the woods, it would be a struggle but I would like to try it for awhile. Spots you need lots of ammo like a warehouse full to keep that mini gun fed!!
  19. Thanks Dl, I will look at their schedule and try to make a match or 2 before we move in early 2015, thanks for the info. I may pm ya and we can ride together maybe.
  20. I understand that fatwood or fat lighter as we in Mississippi call it must not be available to any or most of Tennessee. I may have to start a small business bringing some up when we come to our place near Dale Hollow. I will have to see what a fair market price for this will be. Let me know what would be a fair price for some. Mac in Ms, coming to Tn. as often as I can.
  21. Hi guys, am looking for IPSC style defensive pistol and long gun matches near Cookeville, Livingston, Jamestown area. They don't have to be USPSA sanctioned just be safe shooters. I know I can travel and shoot at Dickson but am looking for closer matches. Thanks Mac
  22. They will probably be visited by the men in black cars and forced to stop the manufacture of something that may be harmful to the peace loving "yeah right" jihadist's! You know they get their drawers in a wad just by watching some video.
  23. Okay I have to ask, if there is this small amount of 22lr. available at all these different Wally world stores, where in the He77 is all the 22 that is being manufactured? I mean really if each plant makes 1 million rounds per day, that is a figure I have seen regularly on several sites. If they make 1 million rounds per day and are running 7 days a week and have been for months, where are the 30,60,90,or 180 million rounds from each plant going? I figured eventually everyone would have maxed out their cc on buying the up to $250 a brick bulk 22 ammo. I think I smell a rat, do you suppose that there is warehouses stacked to the ceiling waiting to dribble a bit here and there at inflated prices? A friend who is a dealer said he is getting a little from a supplier at $22 a brick and he is selling at $30 a brick, only problem is he isn't getting much and never knows when he will get any. What are ya'lls take on this deal? Mac
  24. Trust a politician and this is the sort of stuff that happens. Currently I am a Mississippian but will be a Tennessean as soon as I retire. 1 of our Senators voted with the Tenn boys and I can tell you the Mississippi folks are irate as well. I said it 25 years ago that the 2 party system is like a ping pong match, 1 side blames the other, then the other side blames them and on and on. I think a NO party system is what we need. Vote for the man that WILL do what he says. Everyone needs to contact the NRA and tell them to not support any politician that votes for any gun control. Also these 16 clowns need to have their A ratings changed to F- immediately. Send them e-mails, letters, calls and like WInston Churchill once said Never, ever, ever give up!
  25. They need a garbage collector for all this garbage they are spouting out.
