The moral to this story my friends is to live far enough in the woods that "you" are 911!! There is a war on drugs like I am a brain surgeon. But I can stop the drug problem real quick. 2 forms of punishment, caning and hanging. If the first punishment doesn't FIX the problem the 2nd one will. No prisons, just small local jails. It will work, but the mamby pamby ACLU and such wouldn't hear of such brutal forms of punishment, and here we are.

Well I may as well chime in. I too wanted a Kel-tec, and this was a couple of years back. Well saw one on GB and called the guy and asked is this a pos or what. He said he had a 9mm and it was his most fun gun to shoot. I bought a 4095 .40 cal and it is a blast. I sighted it in at 50 yards and I was happy, then 1 day I decided to shoot it at 100 yds, this is with my cast bullet plinking reloads. They will headshoot an IPSC target at 100yds. and that is good enough for me. I would prefer a higher cap mag, but I can live with 10. I also torture tested this out of the box, I didn't clean or lube it and shot 100 rounds with no malfunction. Before you berate them, go borrow one from a friend and I bet you will buy one.

Proof pretty much the 22 ammo thing is about over
Dirtshooter replied to a topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I don't think it is a localized thing. I live in S.E. Mississippi and this whole year I saw 22lr and 22wmr at a wally world the day before Thanksgiving with a limit of 1 box per caliber 3 box total limit. We have regular pistol and rifle ammo most of the time. I saw and bought 3 boxes of cheap thunderbolts at $29 tax included in Alabama in May, the lady at Wally world said it was their 1st shipment of bulk 22 for the year. It ain't over not by a long shot. It wouldn't surprise me if it took 3-5 years for it to come back around. I hope I am wrong. -
How about 4 track tapes that was pre 8-track, my wife was a keypunch operator, the #3 washtub on the back porch was our Hot tub, going to the Western Auto and buying a box of 22 shorts for $0.29 and I was 9 and no-one questioned that. The way I heard the balls floating in the bathtub was if they floated like a cork you couldn't get the job done anymore. That is the family version of it anyway. I prefer my dimmer switch on the floor and the starter button on the floor also. I also prefer a POTUS and congress that gave a crap about this beautiful country.

Thank you LORD!! Great news TDR, hope all is well. Will continue to pray for your family. -
Hey guys I work with chemicals everyday. A warning against any drum or tote is to be perfectly certain that it was used with a food grade product, I would need to see a label and a MSDS before I used it for water to drink. I asked our supplier the other day how much a bottle that is the plastic container inside the cage cost and it was $95 new however it was not rated as for potable drinking water, the materials are FDA compliant but he said the grease that was used on the valve wasn't so they couldn't be listed as good for potable water. Also plastic HDPE type that drums, pails and totes are made of are porous and if any "bad" stuff has been in them it could leach out for years. Please be careful with used containers. I plan on having some under my gutter I will install on my barn, but use the water for garden if needed. Stay safe!!

A default on America's debts...
Dirtshooter replied to whitewolf001's topic in Survival and Preparedness
WW I know a lot of people think EMP, and nukes and every other possible scenario, but the collapse of our economy is what I believe will bring back to the 1800's real quick. I mean there is only so long you can keep printing worthless paper money and eventually Russia and China will figure out how to get the Dollar out of the loop as currency to buy oil, when the U.S. loses that 1 thing we are history. That is the shoe I am watching to drop. I don't know if I shared it here or not, but I saw on Fox news scroll across bottom about 3-4 weeks ago saying the Feds were telling the banks to keep extra amounts of cash on hand for a situation. The big banks were asked to keep 30-45 day supply and the smaller ones 2 weeks. Never before in my 61 years have I heard such as this. Keep your eyes and ears open guys I don't know how long these props can keep us going. God Speed and wishing ya'll a Blessed Thanksgiving. Even with all the ^%ap going on here I don't want to be anywhere else on this planet. -
I do not condone any drug or other law breaking, but come on now. He needs to get a really good lawyer that wants to make a name for himself/herself keeping this politically correct. Mike .357 I had my 2012 F-150 for a few months before a buddy told me about the under console hidey hole. And Dane that hidey hole ain't near about big enough to put all the spare parts to keep a Ford a runnin!! You know Ford used to have a commercial about 98% of all Fords built were still on the road, they weren't lyin, I see them beside the road every day!! On a cool quiet evening you can hear them Fords a rustin, kind of warms your heart ya know. Just funnin ya'll I have a F-150 and a Yukon so I am playing both sides, looking to buy a Jeep so I can have something running some of the time.

Good gun prices are coming down, now if we can get the 22 ammo back on the shelves at a reasonable price life would be better. Probably wait 5 years for that to happen if it ever does!!

The thing a lot of people don't realize about a rebuilt title on a vehicle is that most insurance companies won't give you much if any coverage as the value of the vehicle is hard to put a figure on. I found a great looking Jeep near Memphis and wanted it bad until I saw the ad said rebuilt title. Also if you ever go to sell or trade it this will come up and be harder for you to sell or trade. I think you did the right thing.

I wouldn't believe him if he said it was dark outside, I would go and see for myself.

WW you need to quit your day job and become a full time paid writer. Love the story!! Keep it up.

We have our fair share here in Ms. I killed one about 10 years ago while muzzleload hunting, he had been making noise in the leaves for a couple of hours and right before dark I blasted him with a .50 cal. Lets just say he quit russling around in them leaves. LOL!!

Timestepper, I thought POTUS would be the better choice for him. He's got the balls to get something done and I have a feeling maybe something with some good ol country common sense.

Thanks to all, Leroy I liked the link now I need to see if any is local.

Hi guys got a question for ya. I have seen several black wooden fences and am wondering if people are using burnt motor oil on them or are they painting them a flat or matte finish black paint? Anybody done this?? I think they look so much better than the natural or white wooden fences especially a few years down the road. Thanks Mac

Looks great!! Wanted to do our deck before winter, but probably won't get it done.

I think it is more prevalent now than several years ago. My GGGrandfather died of some sort of cancer my dad used to talk about Pop and how he was bedridden and in pain for 7-8 years. My wife's older brother died at 36. Several friends and associates have it. My wife's best friend a girl we both graduated high school with has colon, bone and other cancer, her dad died last Friday of cancer, her 51 year old brother has been sent home on hospice care, has colon, breast and bone cancer. I hear more and more men with breast cancer, something that for some reason seems strange to me. I know there are children that have cancer, but I really think some of the CRAP we eat is responsible. I heard a Dr. say that they had done studies on chicken nuggets and said some were only 47% chicken meat with the remainder fat, bone, cartilage etc. Just a FYI, they also said that the U.S is going to export chickens to China for China to make chicken nuggets and ship back to U.S. I don't know about you, but I don't want any Chinese chicken nuggets. Am praying for all the cancer patients.

Tax Avoidance Seen as a Human Rights Violation
Dirtshooter replied to greenego's topic in General Chat
Yep I would be more than happy to escort all of the U.N. leaders out of the country for good!! We need to be in the U.N. and paying for most of it like we need to be playing Russian roulette with 5 rounds in a 6 shot revolver. Throw the bums out!! Biggest mistake a Tennessean ever made. Yep that would be Mr. Cordell Hull. -
If this was put on all the networks, every facebook page, twitter and what ever else, I bet the sheeple still wouldn't understand. I really think more people are more worried about when they are coming out with the IPhone 5,6 9,32 or whatever and who is winning Saturdays football game than about things that really make a difference. Like our children and grand children's well being, their economic situation is being gambled away just like a drunk deadbeat gambler that has $100 left and is going to let it ride on red 29. They really could care less, or don't have a clue how to stop it.

Was this a setup way ahead of time for more power ?
Dirtshooter replied to ted's topic in General Chat
Well I for one have seen a lot of signs in the news on various TV networks and the signs I saw were not 8.5x11 they were not made at Kinko's or the office Xerox. Even the cemetary the U.S. owns in France can't think of the name right now had the "official" signs. Ok call me a Tinfoil hat wearer, I don't care. Kinda like the EBT Test this weekend, just testing the waters to see how much crap can be manufactured at a moments notice by their paid for slaves!! This administration goes from 1 distraction to another sort of like a sleight of hand magician, hard to watch all the hands at once isn't it?? -
Don't think another episode of idiot shooter and this could all start over again or maybe be even worse.
-
JAB, I vote. Hell, I hope they don't ever re-open if I can quit paying those pesky taxes. I would be rich if it weren't for taxes and insurance and food and well you get the picture. LOL
