Keep strong brother. It is true it is much easier to pickup those habits than to quit them I smoked, dipped and chewed bacci. It has been several years since I smoked and probably 10 since I quit chewing and there are still some days it wouldn't take much to get me started back. I look at the prices today and don't know how anyone can afford them. I have definitely bought more guns and fishing stuff since I quit. Food tastes better, momma don't fuss at me burning all the money up. Life is Good!!

I am an old fart and right proud of that fact. I like my 60's & 70's rock. I can relate to a lot of what has been said, bout them long haired hippies and such. But when you go to town and half of the population is still in their PJ's it kinda makes you wonder??? Symbolic you are right I work with a 30 something, he is a good guy, but I promise you he doesn't "care" about the job like the rest of us. Pride in your country, pride in your work, people used to sign their work as they were proud of what they had made, pride in your family and how you look does mean something. Hey if you want a tattoo or 20 that is cool, if you want metal stuck everywhere that is cool. I have been thinking about a hairdo and tattoo's like Ragnor on the Vikings. I guarantee you most folks will leave you alone if you look like him. Peace!!

Hi guys do any of you know what the law is concerning delinquent tax sales? I have my eye on a lot but the owner and his wife died and there are like 7 heirs to the property some who have since died and I cannot contact them. I know the taxes haven't been paid in 2 years. I am going to contact a lawyer, but thought someone here may have some info about this. Thanks Mac

I think Chrysler should auction them off and return the money to the gov't for the 2 bailouts I recall.

Sooo, if the government can't have crosses on their property...

Caster don't give them any ideas. I had thought the same thing, and to tell you the truth it really wouldn't surprise me of anything the gov't decided to do next. Tar and feathers and a rail to ride the scum out of town would be a good start!! -

I believe that the ills of this country are a direct result of U.S. turning our backs on GOD. I say this as a whole, not singling anyone out. Every time I think of the Millions of baby's aborted I wonder how WE will pay for this as I know that the Bible plainly states "Do not suffer the little children" I know that all those senseless murders has hurt our GOD and he is not happy about it. I always remind people how GOD allowed HIS chosen people to wander in the desert for 40 years and they could have easily walked across it in 3 weeks. If this is true, how long do you think he will let us "wander" in the desert. We have allowed the minority atheists to take GOD and prayer off of most everything, but is still puzzles me that "In God we Trust" is still on our money. The question is do we still put our trust in GOD?? -

Static said it best. You cannot trust many people, you have to really get to know them. Unless you are family, you pretty much ain't welcome to the Party!! Not being ugly, just being truthful. In these days, you cannot trust the guy to not be casing the joint to see what stuff you got that he may want to try and take. It is what it is. Put your time into good, very good friends. I would love to have a community that I could ride the river with as well, but all it takes is 1 person running his/her mouth and the whole ship sinks. Hence the motto "loose lips sink ships". -
Ok I will chime in, I work for a chemical company. DO NOT use a poly drum if you don't for sure know what was in it. The poly drums are made of HDPE and they are more porous than you would think. Any harmful chemicals can leech out for years. You cannot wash them out and use them for drinking or cooking. You could use for gardens if you can see algae growing in them, that is a good thing. If you can for sure see that it contained a food like syrup for soda then you could thoroughly clean and use it. You cannot be too careful, they may look good, smell good, and make you very sick or even kill you. Be careful!!!

Sorry for your loss Tanker. I know how your mom felt about Tennessee, every time we come up for a vacation we don't want to go home, that is why we are making it our retirement home if the Good Lord wills it. Those journals are worth more than silver and gold! -
I think WW is stringing us along getting us hooked like a dope addict, then he is going to say $100 each for the "rest of the story" as Paul Harvey used to say!!

Coke's America the Beautiful - Give me your thoughts

Beautiful song sang in English. I am tired of calling Lowe's for example and asked to press 1 for English. I am sorry, No I'm not sorry I am old and set in my ways and like Raoul has said many people immigrated to the U.S.A. and made certain that their kids learned English because they knew it was going to be much easier for them to get a good job if they could communicate with the majority of the citizens of the U.S.A. If you want to speak Spanish for example go to Mexico or Spain!! And while I am on a rant, I don't feel like giving any illegal alien from any country a "FREE" pass just because. I know personally know people that have went thru all the steps to become Legal Citizens and it is not fair to them to give these knuckleheads a free pass. My $0.02!! -
Sorry to hear that Tanker. It sometimes looks like some folks have 1 issue after another and you wonder is it ever going to stop. Will be praying for your mom, you and the family.

Okay I will chime in, I too don't like any taxes however sales tax is the most fair. If you don't buy a $50,000 pickup truck you don't pay the sales tax. But the federal income tax was never ratified and is illegal. It was supposed to be a tax to business taxing only their profits. We that work for a living do not profit, we trade our time and expertise for money, but we don't make a profit on that time!!!

Thanks TDR I appreciate the info. Will continue praying for him. Nothing like getting old!!!

Hey dats82, I didn't personally see it, but a good friend did. A gun show in New Orleans early last year .22 bricks $250. A local auction house .22 bricks went for $250 also early last year. Lots of gun shows in Ms and Fl they went for $125 a brick. They can keep them and put them where the sun don't shine!!!

Read this on another site so take it with a grain of salt. A guy living in Nebraska heard that a Cabela's gun clerk asked a Hornady manager that was there about the .22 shortage vs. new guy buyers and the Hornady guy said they expected 2 years before it got back to normal.

In case you aren't aware the EPA is the worst enemy of the U.S.A. far worse than Russia or China ever thought of. That is why diesel fuel is so expensive because the EPA made the sulfur content so low they have to refine it twice to remove enough of the sulfur to meet the regs. Mexican trucks don't have all the DEF fluid and all the other crap on it? I don't have a college degree, but I did learn that this planet has an enclosed atmosphere. The air we breathe is the same that Mexican trucks and Chinese trucks polluted it with. So why is it that we have to bear the burden of keeping the planet clean??? The supertankers that bring crude oil from the middle east burn crude oil on the open ocean and switch to diesel when they get closer to land. Okay I will stop ranting now, not much use anymore. -
Okay this is a guess, but looks like a hickory to me. Rip me some 1" slabs and I can turn them into loading blocks. Pretty nice lookin wood!! Somehow that sounds wrong. How about the grain and color of that tree looks nice!!

Guys this is one of the reasons I have no NRA, Mossy Oak or any other sticker or tag on my vehicles that say I hunt, shoot, fish, or whatever. I guess I need to put a golfing sticker on to make them leave me alone. I have heard that thugs see you driving with all the "gun" stickers on and follow you to work or home and know you have something worth stealing. Spots you handled it well and being aware of your surroundings is crucial.
