I have a concern about using a deadbolt that requires a key to unlock from the inside, isn't that dangerous in case of a fire? Do those that have such locks keep a key in it while at home? I have always said an exterior door should swing to the outside because I would think it would be much harder to pull a door open as opposed to kicking it open, however I suppose they could use pry bars to pull it open. The best thing is to use the locks and make everything as hard as possible, the thugs like to be in and out quick. Put up security or game cameras around your place, heck one of mine is a dud that hasn't worked in 3 or 4 years, but if you come into my driveway you will see it cable locked to an oak tree. This gets the thugs to thinking anyway. Best deterrent is a big loud dog and an alarm system that can be heard for a country mile, plus a sign that reads Don't worry about the dog, worry about the dog's owner!!!!!!!!!!

A little off topic, but I still can't understand why it is "illegal" to build an AR pistol from an AR rifle receiver. Just shows how stupid the ATF rules really are. So are they going to send someone to watch everyone as they go to shoot their guns to make sure that nobody holds and AR/AK pistol to their shoulder? So if I read all this correctly isn't the buffer tube with a crutch tip on it also technically illegal if put to one's shoulder? "Stupid is as stupid does"

Ya'll need to start reloading. I can load my cast bullets and have just under $0.05 per round or $5.00 per 100 rounds. I can assure you it won't take long to make up the cost of a reloader set-up. Just my 2 cents. Ya'll have a Happy New Year!! Mac

I saw cops park in handicap parking back in Ms. There are few things that make me madder than able bodied people parking in handicap parking. I have been on crutches and it ain't funny trying to get from 1 end of wally world to the other, I was too proud to use the motorized shopping carts.

was up in Monticello, Ky. yesterday and the wally world there didn't even have a ammo cabinet, they must keep it hidden. I didn't even bother to ask. If I have to ask for it I don't need it that bad. They can keep it.

Hey OS, I am always confused about the parts you can have if you also have an AR pistol. If I have an AR pistol does that mean that I can't also own a AR rifle as it has a stock and possibly a forward grip?? Just asking.

I am from Mississippi and the game and fish will argue that there are no big cats. There is a video that is on the net of one not too far from Meridian, Ms. There has been numerous sightings,but no hard evidence. Although if you shot one you would be in a heap of trouble as they are on the endangered species list?? The big cats are like bears or other animals, back in Ms. we have several sightings of bears within 1.5 miles of where I lived for 35 years and I was in the woods hunting, but I never saw them. That doesn't mean they don't exist in small numbers and want to live in the woods away from people if they can.

There is but 1 GOD. The god that the muslims pray to isn't the same one that created this world and gave his Son to die on the cross. I really feel bad for the parents and friends of those killed. The people in the middle east have been fightning among themselves for literally thousands of years. I don't want to change this topic, but does anyone find it odd that this happened in Pakistan and within hours there was film of the victims being rushed some by hand to a hospital, however the tragedy at Sandy Hook school none of those kids shot were taken any way to the hospital and given a chance to possibly live?? Does that ring any bells??

I will tell this story of being at a Honda dealer a few years ago when the yellow foremans came out. I was in the shop getting a tire patched as they were loading up this good looking yellow foreman and I commented on how good it looked. The serviceman said " that right there is a reason not to buy a used 4 wheeler" he said that guy was in every creek and river he could get into and they had changed all the fluids multiple times. I would buy one from a known friend that serviced it. I bought a used Kawasaki TransMule which is a 4 adult seated vehicle, I had a good 4 wheeler at the time, best purchase ever. I use that thing all the time doing jobs around the house, hunting and just riding. I would look at some side by sides, I really think they are the best for the dollar spent. A guy that I used to hunt with had paid $12K for a canam 4 wheeler and when I bought my mule he said man why didn't I get one of those instead of this?

Saw this on Fox and had to share. They just showed a single mom with 2 kids that had put a layaway at Toys R us and when she went to pay them out, she was told someone had paid the bill. In fact that person paid for 150 accounts. In light of all the bad things we hear, the majority of the people you have contact with each day are really good people. In case I get too busy. I really like spending my money locally, but I also have a limit to my budget, I can't write bad checks like the gubermint. I always shop around a bit and most times I end up saving money. I understand a business needs to make a profit to stay in business, but they don't need to get rich off of me.

Ok then why weren't all the victims rushed to the hospital for at least a chance of survival??? Because there wasn't any maybe?? Then they made all the victims stay overnight in the building?? The fact that they destroyed the building, ground it up and melted it??? Sorry to continue on this. I am with ya'll if they convict Bushmaster and make them pay, this will set a precedent for any other like an auto accident and sueing the manufacturer.

I personally would think the more you spend the cheaper the shipping especially for a small item like a knife. Oh well.

Been doing a little web browsing on the Sandy Hook shooting and it is unbelieveable all the different stories. There were 3 things that really bothered me. 1. No ambulances took anyone to the hospital, all were pronounced dead at scene. 2. All the victims bodies remained in the building all night, this is unprecedented. 3. They not only tore the school building down, they shredded it, melted down the metal and made all the workers sign a document that they couldn't talk about what they saw. Well now I am wondering what did they see, was it possibly no bullet holes in the walls, doors, ceiling? No bloody mess on the floors? I don't know but the more I look at this, the more it is flawed. We will never know the truth.
