I don't have the link, but a 62 yr old ex-con shot a Putnam county Tennessee deputy in a traffic stop, the went back into Kentucky and shot a Ky. cop in a traffic stop. This happened Sunday 10-25-15. The LE says he is armed and dangerous, just letting the word out. I didn't hear about it until noon today.

Looked like a bunch of nuts to me. I wouldn't feel safe within 10 miles of those yahoo's!!!

Sorry for your loss Ben, my prayers with you and your family. Just be thankful that he is not suffering anymore. I lost my dad 43 years ago and I still miss him although it has gotten some better. Cherish your memories and know that one day you will be together for all of eternity.

Dang it boys, that Hill pic is wrong. Ya need to warn a fellow, I may be scarred for life!!

That isn't what I said or implied. I said that the gooberment was full of a bunch of lying politicians!! That being said, I wouldn't trust them not to do anything that may put more power or money in their greedy hands.

As far as I am concerned I truly believe there are more bald faced liars in the gooberment than there are people whom tell the truth. Just look at the IRS scandal, the planned parenthood, Benghazi, Hillary's server/cellphone etc/

Prayers to the victims and their families. Obammy just said that "we know that states with the most gun laws have the fewest gun crimes" really I thought Chicago had some mighty tough laws. I swear nothing that comes out of the potus's mouth is the truth. I have wondered when the next shooting spree would happen so that stricter gun laws can be enacted or better yet why don't we just ban the private ownership of guns and ammo and be done with it. Then at last it will be like Nazi Germany, and the rest of the world that couldn't or can't own guns. Maybe that would make the U.N. happy. I will never quit being amazed by the idiots on the left that really believe that banning guns would solve all the shooting crimes. All one has to do is look at the U.K or Australia and see how that has worked. Like all the refugees on TV, if they had not given their governments all the power and kept some AK's they wouldn't be in quite the sad shape they are in. But we will soon have our "fair share" of them over here.

Thanks for all the info, we decided to not swap after all this conversation. It is something to think about as I wouldn't want a gun that I had bought and traded be used to commit a crime. Mac

Thanks guys, I didn't find him on TGO, he has an engine for trade for my truck that I need badly. We have texted and I will call him tomorrow before I go look at the engine. I wouldn't have asked if the was a TGO'er.

Hey guys I may be doing a gun swap with a guy I don't know. How can I make sure he is ok to own a gun? He may not have a HCP as a lot of folks don't. Is getting a pic of his drivers license sufficient to cover me or not? The gun is a nib ruger 10-22. Thanks up front for your help. Mac

When they show up just tell the "NO HABLO" in an believable accent tell them you are illegal and prefer not to be counted, but to keep sending the goobermint checks. Thank you Senor!!

Been praying for Her for quite awhile. It really boils down to the fact that America as a whole has turned her back on God. Just remember how the Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years and they could have easily walked it in 3 weeks or less, and may I remind you they are God's chosen people. So how long do you think he will allow us to wander around, especially since we as a nation have allowed the murder of around 57.5 million babies?? I have often wondered how many doctors and other vital people have been murdered via abortion.

Troopers using trucks to catch people texting
Dirtshooter replied to xsubsailor's topic in General Chat
If a cop would ride to and from work with me for 1 day he/she would have writers cramp from writing tickets. I need to pitch that to the THP and see if I can get a full time state job just riding troopers around in my unmarked yukon!!!! -

And I would have sued her for every penny she could get her hands on too!! If someone hits me the first thing I will do is have the law get a printout of the persons cell phone usage and let the ambulance chasers loose!! -
Yes I paid attention to the signature!! That was much more entertaining. Oh sorry for the sidetrack. I trust that the liberal left would never ever want to take our guns

Well I have read both versions, I believe the AR never left the trunk though. I have done multiple searches and I don't know whom to believe. Anyone want to wade into this debate??

Reloading table made totally from junk and scrap.
Dirtshooter replied to JohnC's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Your dad sounds like our kind of people for sure. Love the loading station. I am sure ya'll have seen these ultra modern, aluminum, stainless, inlaid woods and such that are as pristine as an operating room. Well if it doesn't have just a little clutter and some stains where some powder, oil, Hoppes # 9 and such have been spilled, I look at it and yawn!!! I would keep it in good running order and pass it along to your son, grandson, nephew or some kid that may appreciate it. -
While watching O'Reilly on Fox a bit ago, the streaming news line at bottom was saying that Wally world would quit selling AR-15's and mentioned that an AR was used to kill the kids and adults in Newtown, Ct. in 2012. As I recall Adam Lanza used a pistol and the AR never left the car. I just wish the media would give us the danged truth, that is if they even know what the meaning of truth is.

What press should I buy for my brother in law?
Dirtshooter replied to MrBrian's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Depends on what he shoots or wants to load. Because it is a "big" gift I would tell him I was thinking of spending X amount and if he wanted a different press he could kick in the difference. Say he wanted a Dillon 650 or whatever and you were going to spend $150 he would be $150 closer to his press, as we all have different ideas. My first press was a rockchucker and I still load on it, however I have a Dillon SDB and can do about 300 rounds of pistol ammo per hour. Just my $0.02. -
In typical redneck fashion I love it!! Hey it beats the he77 out of walking

And to add to the list of toys, what about cars that didn't have seat belts, steel dashes with no padding, lying on the package tray in the back window on road trips. We could stay gone all day riding bikes, fishing or what ever as long as we were home by dark. I guess back then there weren't a bunch of child molesters or perverts like we have now. Go to the store at 9 and buy 22 ammo or cigarettes (for our parents) of course and nobody questioned it. We had it made as far as having the freedom to go and do without all the restrictions that kids have now due to all the perverts out there. We had it made and didn't realize how lucky we were, dang it I sure wish my grand-kids could enjoy more of those freedoms!!! Guys we owe our grand-kids these freedoms again, how can we accomplish it? Thanks for all the memories brought back in living color from the black and white days!!!
