I think this is a bunch of bogus reporting myself, has anyone thought how much 6.5 tons of ammo is. I don't believe anyone in Kali had that many guns and that much ammo. Funny they are going to keep the 250K cash. If they would have sold the guns they would have donated the money to Hillary or Bernie anyway. Makes all of our guns more valuable the way I look at it. Morons!!!!! This is why even single people need a will, leave your stuff to someone that will enjoy like you do.

Picked all the broccoli and cabbage. Have harvested yellow squash, zuchinnis, pulled up all my onions, picked 2 messes of green beans and have gobs of green maters waiting on them to ripen. It has been very dry here with only 2" rain last month and only 1 so far this month.

Amen! I want to thank each of you who served in our military!! Yes we need to never never forget our lost heroes. I have many family and friends that were vets of WWII, Korea, Vietnam and all the Gulf wars. We need to keep our kids and grandkids informed so that the important dates like Dec. 7, 1941, June 6, 1944, May 8, 1945 which is VE day, August 15, 1945 which is VJ day.

He needs more target practice or a higher cap mag!! Bet the thug will think twice before trying that house again.

DS, I am no expert but I would recommend just running some 14 gauge wire directly from the battery to the lights with a switch if you like. I wouldn't tie into the house wiring at all. I am planning on a small solar setup with a inverter to go to 110 volt AC to run a few small appliances occasionally and recharge my cordless tool batteries. I got to thinking one day when the power had went off just what I would miss the most if it never came back on. Answer is ice and recharging my cordless tools. I have become very dependent on the little boogers as I have grown older.

I have to do something very nice for this lady. Got any ideas?

Greg, I believe the most precious gift we have to offer anyone is our time. If she lives alone, a call or visit just to chat would probably be appreciated more than you know. Plus offer your services around her home would be great. -
Use a cable style throttle cable instead of the old style rod type linkage. As Murgatroy said don't spend a lot of time or money on the intake, just modify the linkage. Got any rod clubs or old style mechanic shops they can help ya.

This is our 2nd year of raised beds, wished I would have done that about 40 years ago. Best garden last year ever. 3-5-16 planted 2 lbs of onion sets 1 white and 1 red. 3-12-16 planted sugar snap peas and carrots, 3-15-16 planted 8 cabbage and 8 broccoli plants. 3-18-16 the peas were sprouting and 3-24-16 carrots started sprouting. 3-26-16 planted lettuce mix. For those that don't know Sow True seeds in Asheville, N.C. has lots of heirloom or non-hybrid seeds. We also have tomatoes, peppers, and 2 types of squash started inside. I went the cheap method for the beds, I have access to wooden crates from a tractor dealer and I just knock the bottom out we put cardboard down on the grass, some black plastic a foot or so all around and we filled with topsoil and mushroom mix which is horse manure that has composted about a year. Wishing ya'll some good wholesome veggies.

Put in some raised beds and plant some veggies, solves 2 problems. Fresh produce and no mower needed!!!

The reason is a one word sentence. GREED!!

Reading about the hitchhiker and a duffel bag reminded me of back in the mid 90's as we were getting on I-75 coming from a vacation in the Smokies, we spotted a hitchhiker with long hair, a duffel bag and an axe leaned up on the duffel bag. I told my wife anybody that picks this guy up hasn't seen Texas chainsaw massacre. I have often wondered if anyone ever picked him up.

NSFW: The Religion of Peace Decapitates 4yr old
Dirtshooter replied to CommsNBombs's topic in General Chat
This supposed peaceful religion is neither peaceful or a religion. It is a cult pure and simple. There isn't moderate or radical Muslims, they are Muslims. Do some googling and see how many hospitals and charitable things they have started. I can't find a one, seems odd doesn't it that this "peaceful" religion hasn't done one hospitable thing on this earth. All that don't bow down to their Allah is an infidel and is to be killed, now that is a real loving religion huh? And for the Potus's AG to say she would prosecute any inappropriate verbage about Muslims. I thought this was still a somewhat free country and we had the 1st Amendment that says we have the freedom of speech. Sounds like a threat to me to mind my words about whom I speak about. Sounds a whole lot like Nazi Germany, don't say nothing bad about Hitler or you will disappear. -
I have placed several orders from Midway and I have never had a bad experience. The person answering the phone knows right away if the product is in stock and were always very friendly. All businesses could learn a thing or 2 from Larry.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Beretta. I suspect more Tennesseans own some type of Beretta than all the Barrett's combined. Now don't get me wrong I would love to have a Barrett, but the budget minded gun buyer is more likely to choose a Beretta!!

I hate to tell her, but in 2001 65% of the Mississippi voters voted to keep the state flag as is. The current governor Phil Bryant said last year that he was sworn to uphold the voters wishes. I lived in Mississippi from 1969-2013 and the voter turnout for this vote brought out lots of people that for 1 reason or another had never voted.

Well I haven't had mine replaced, but wife had both done about 6 months apart. If not for the surgery she would have been in a wheelchair. As most have said the therapy is painful, but gets better. One day about 6 months after her 2nd replacement we were walking and she turned to me and said " I don't hurt anymore". I have known some people with problems after and some with flying colors so ymmv. Get 2nd opinions and some referrals by patients is my recommendation. Hope all goes well.

I have said for several years that I believe I could do away with the drug problem with caning. I think 2 forms of punishment, no prisons only local jails. The 2 forms of punishment would be caning and hanging. When the cops pick up some nickel and dime drug dealer have x number of licks applied with a cane. Next time he is picked up double the number and 3rd time hang him at the county courthouse that has a permanent set of gallows. Same way with different crimes, say a DUI, now he gets his license pulled and a big $ fine, he loses his job because he can't drive, his wife divorces him and everything spirals out of control. With the caning punishment he gets a prescribed number of licks and he will quit the DUI habit, he keeps his license, job and wife. Tell me if this is crazy or not? For crimes that caning is too severe, community service by keeping trash picked up etc.

It is the liberal way of control. They just keep chipping away 1 at a time. It is like how to eat an elephant, 1 bite at a time. One cannot fathom the ignorance of these idiots in charge. How is it that some police superintendent has the "power" to determine who does or doesn't get a carry permit based on some essay? You know that a long time ago they tarred and feathered people like this or put them in the stocks and threw sh!t at them!! I am for bringing that back. Peaceful law abiding gun owners just want to be able to shoot or hunt without all the hassles. I saw a program on last night about the anti hunting humane society getting all the money to help the poor mistreated animals and only about 1% of the money went to the animals and the rest was spent on anti hunting campaigns. Everyone needs to really research where they send their donations to.

I have always said give me 3 weeks and I can get rid of the taxation without representation. All I need is for all the employers to do is have the cash on hand come payday and say here is your $500 oh wait we need $140 for federal tax and $85 for fica etc. and when people actually see the money almost get to their hand and have it taken back there would be a revolution. The reason for 3 weeks is some people get paid every 2 weeks or twice a month. As you probably know the Federal income tax was never intended to tax the worker, it was to tax a business on the profit they made. We as workers don't make a profit at work, we trade our precious time for dollars and as such it isn't a profit. I begrudge every single dollar they have stolen from me, but the reason is they hand it over to a bunch of lazy bums here and abroad that danged sure don't deserve it. I have no problem giving it to older people or anyone that can't physically or mentally work. Rant over for now.

Clinton: Obama would be a great Supreme Court justice
Dirtshooter replied to Pete123's topic in General Chat
I'm with you Ugly, I am about as pessimistic as I can be. I think they need to have a test you must pass prior to voting because there are a bunch of uninformed people that are getting to vote that don't have a clue or are just ignorant. It is the dumbing down of America, let's see if we can get her as far down the tubes so we are at the same level as the rest of the Third Reich, I meant Third world countries. -
Just say no, if they ask further questions tell them you are a member of PITA and do not hunt nor fish, and you quit playing golf because you kept hitting squirrels when you sliced the ball and hit fish in the water hazards.

My daughter called me yesterday morning to see if I knew any of these people as I used to competitively shoot in the vicinity. I lived in Mississippi from 1969-2014 and you can bet there are some real rednecks there. But I hate to break it to ya, there are some real rednecks in Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and the remaining 46 states plus some foreign countries. I have never understood how people can shoot, kill, maim, injure or whatever to other people over the most asinine, trivial things. I guess in the heat of the moment people go over the edge, but how close were they standing to the edge when this all began. There seems to be more to the story, but you never know. I am like Bersa in that there are too many people that don't value anyone's life any more. Now if I took a gun in to be repaired and it was $2,500 more than we had agreed, I would certainly be pissed but I wouldn't pull a gun and start shooting. I feel for all the families concerned because they will have to live with what their family members have caused.

This snow should help preppers!!

Mark I got online and searched about the buddy heater and it turned out to be a spider and web inside the pilot burner. It would light, but because it wasn't a strong enough flame it wouldn't warm the thermocouple tube to keep the burner working. It took me about 10 minutes to fix it. These are really good heaters although this one is a small 4-9,000 btu model that I bought for keeping a shooting house nice and toasty, it will keep you from freezing. I have a nice ceramic style heater that I had planned on getting hooked up for an emergency, but I didn't get it fixed quick enough. Needless to say I will be getting it fixed as soon as I can get to town. Hope everyone has gotten a small look into what may transpire during a grid down or bad storm. Please take heed at what went right and what failed to an extent.
