  1. I had a friend back a few years that him and his dad would reload .45acp on a Dillon Square deal and his dad would tell Paul, hey we got some empty brass that needs to be filled. It really bugged him that they had brass that needed to be loaded. I like to keep a good bit loaded also, and it sure is nice in these panic times to go out and leisurely crank out 500 rounds of .38 just to go plinking with.
  2. Use a slingshot, much more efficient!!
  3. Mr. Slick Willy Clinton got me into reloading years ago. When I heard they were trying to make primers with a specified life span it got me to thinking a nice pistol, rifle or shotgun would be a very poor weapon without ammo. A 2 Iron would be much more efficient. So I started reloading, 1 reason I never have been fond of .22 WMR, I can load lots of more powerful ammo cheaper. Hey Raoul you aren't the one picking up Dennis brass are you? LOL
  4. Yea it certainly is more expensive, granted I cast my own lead bullets. But I can load 9mm, .38 special, .40 S&W and .45 acp for about a nickel a round. That would be $2.50 per 50 round box or a savings of 63,8% based on the 9mm I just purchased. And btw I don't even own a 9mm, got that for my son.
  5. Just a heads up for anyone wanting large rifle primers. Midsouth shooter supply has CCI and Federal magnum primers for less that $0.04 each. Passing the info along.
  6. I bought some 9mm fiocchi 115 gr fmj for $15.95 box of 50 locally. That is $0.32 per round.
  7. Personally I think driving without headlights should be punishable by flogging. I see idiots every time I drive in the evening that don't have their lights on, and in the fog and pouring rain. Personally I WANT people to see me and maybe, just maybe stay on their side of the yellow line, which is a dream.
  8. But would you sell every last primer that you had for money? I certainly would not. I will share with friends and sell to some for just what I paid for them. I will not be a scalper. If these idiots keep doing this the ammo companies are going to raise prices thru the roof and say that we will pay whatever they charge us. Primers can be reused, it is a timely process, but it can be done.
  9. You think that is bad I heard from more than 1 source when the .22 "shortage" occurred more that 1 brick of .22 was sold for $250, depending on if it was a 500 or 550 round box price per round would be $0.4545 to $0.50 each for .22lr. That is needing some .22 pretty badly.
  10. I just saw 5,000 Winchester small pistol primers go for $750 on GB. I need to add that this is plus shipping of $20 also. That would bring it to $154 per 1,000. Folks are desperate. I saw large rifle primers go for $150 back around '08.
  11. There is a hickory on the property line and it has dropped several immature nuts. Go figure, so Greg you can come pick them up if the squirrels and mice don't get them all!!
  12. I searched for this before I started this. Thanks Mac
  13. Hi all, a neighbor who is part time here and part time in Fl. and me were talking about security camera's. I have wi-fi and he doesn't, does anyone have any suggestions on a system? Thanks Mac
  14. Thanks all I got a set of Hornady Nitride on the way.
  15. Belated Happy Birthday Greg. You must have something on your BIL for him to be that generous!! LOL
  16. Me too!! Perhaps target practicing in Sullivan County??
  17. No I wanted to make sure no-one thought about using a used one!! LOL You know sometimes you can't assume things.
  18. Something I have considered is a "new" concrete septic tank, they can be had for under a $1,000.
  19. Yosemite, that is how Elmer got his gun taken away!!!
  20. You got that right. This state is becoming more liberal by the hour.
  21. Ok thanks guys, the steel set is sold already.
  22. With steel dies I will need to lube them? I think I may get them now and buy a carbide sizer die later. Thanks
  23. Hi guys I was looking for a 9mm die set and looks like Christmas 2021 maybe. I found a used set, but I don't think they are carbide. If I am not planning on loading a pickup truck load of 9mm's do you think non carbide ones will do the trick?? Thanks Mac
  24. But is it comfortable?? That's what really counts.
  25. Back in the days when you could kill a duck for under $25 per box. LOL Steel shot what a crock!!
