  1. Back during Hussein's admin when .22 was non existent. They had a gun show in New Orleans and was selling 550 bricks for $250, also heard of small auction house in Mississippi sold 2 550 bricks for $250 each. Try finding a box of 30-30 cartridges to hunt with. So very glad I started reloading years ago!!
  2. I think this count is correct 82 days of deer season at 3 does per day they can legally kill 246 does per year. I live in unit B I think I can kill 5 including all weapon types and have to buy an additional 094 license. You have to have lots of freezers or eat a lot of deer to kill 246 does!! Totally nonsense that they have a limit like that. And the CWD unit they are trying to kill all the deer. They don't understand CWD at all, I have heard in other states they would kill 700 deer and none had CWD. Good job game & fish boys!!
  3. Hey David I tell you what is crazy, 1 county west of you in all of unit L they can kill 3 does everyday during all the seasons I counted it up 1 time and it is crazy the numbers. But here in B you have to have a 094 license to kill 1. The TWRA is screwed up.
  4. Hey OP the answer is in your username. POP POP. This is a gun forum. LOL
  5. Congrats David!!
  6. I got one back in the late 60's and got rid of it in the 70's. It was a neat looking pistol, but reliable wasn't it strong point. The one I had may have had a 4" barrel, that one in the pic must be 14" long.
  7. Nice buck, that's what you get for being considerate of another hunter!! Kudo's
  8. I don't know what was bought up first, but on Ammo Seek the top ammo sought after was 9mm. .223/5.56 was 2nd and 3rd.
  9. You know what is amazing to me, that there is plenty of ammo out there for sale. Almost all at ridiculous prices though.
  10. I concur, sounds like either the wrong powder or not enough powder. If the bullets are hard cast, put a heavier crimp on it, there shouldn't be any setback.
  11. It is bow season, that will keep the one's you kill out.
  12. Good deal, kill all you can and maybe they won't take over the world!!!
  13. Guys I had to share this here. A buddy just sent this link to me. It is pretty funny. If you don't have any redneck in you, you will still find it funny. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzQ9KFClq0o&feature=emb_logo
  14. Evidently there aren't any? Heck it is hard to get anyone to do anything anymore.
  15. Sorry I meant not affordable, or more than I would be willing to pay!
  16. Or a sharp axe handy!!
  17. Sorry I don't want Alexa or any of the "robots" taking care of my weapons access!! Call me old school if you want. I also don't want my "smart" refrigerator or T.V. or my Onstar listening in on my conversations!!! That's what he calls lots of guns??
  18. Please Delete, given away. Guys going thru reloading brass and I have about 25-30 .357 Sig brass and about that many maybe a few more of 9x21 brass. If you want it let me know. I can give you a count if you want. Mac
  19. Looking for advice as I know there is a lot lurking here. My pastor asked me about going to the gunshow in Cookeville this weekend and I told him if they had anything we wouldn't be able to buy it. What are ya'll's thoughts??
  20. That sho is purdy rat thar!! Missed a great one a few years ago a 20 gauge for $3200 and had the money on me. I try not to think of that mistake too often.
  21. I am no expert on this subject, but do we know positively that a Sat phone will work in a SHTF?? Even Hams may not work if an emp caused the shtf and the radio equip weren't protected. Just my $0.02
  22. Ok Alleycat, no-one else asked, can I come hunt from your driveway?? Good pic
  23. RED those will look real good with some potatoes and carrots!! Nice when protein is delivered to your door. LOL
  24. Hey Greg you can bring your crew and fix my road anytime you want, day or night. I will serve cold water, drinks, iced tea and maybe a sandwich. We have been here for 8 years nothing done except a very few shovels of cold patch. This is a county road btw, but if you need something for the gang to do come on over.
  25. Hlb 14, depends on how far you are towing. Are you making a 400 mile roundtrip each day or 50 miles. I know for a fact that diesels will tow the load, but if they break, they will break your pocketbook. Put the pencil to it. To change oil & filter on a gas burner $50, diesel $150. A good diesel pickup mechanic is difficult to find and expensive when you find him. I had a dually F-350 diesel and it was great old powerstroke. You couldn't give me a new one, they have so many sensors and junk plus the def fluid. I put the pencil to it and you had to keep it and drive 300,000 miles before it was cheaper to own the diesel.
