  1. You got it.
  2. Wow, glad you were able to avert a disaster and rescue her. Just remember, Charlie don't surf neither. :usa:
  3. Another vote for Big South Fork-- I've walked many a mile through that park and still have so much yet to see. Some of the best hikes are not on "official" NPS trails though... one that comes to mind is the O&W bridge overlook (not the same as the O&W trail hike). Also, the view from the top of the Twin Arches (the south arch in particular) is pretty great. I highly recommend the books "Hiking the Big South Fork" by Brenda Deaver and "Natural Arches of The Big South Fork" by Arthur McDade. They will take you to some of the paths less traveled with spectacular views and very few people.
  4. Southern Giant Pecan.   No fancy bright colored blooms, but they're rather hardy, they self pollinate and do not attract insects of the stinging variety-- no rotting fruit laying around on the ground either. Make great shade trees when mature-- and with shelled pecans running around $10/lb., you can make yourself some $$ for reloading supplies if you wish. :)   Besides, the nuts make great slingshot ammo in a pinch.
  5. Although I've been a lifer for a while now, The wife was still on 5-yr plan... we went ahead and upgraded her to Life member this time around.
  6.   You obviously haven't seen the prices for feed corn lately. With what they're charging, armed guards will soon replace the bouncer. :jester:
  7. Bought some right up the road in Smyrna about a month back, HERE.
  8. Well, I've got an "M State" decal, but no Dodge truck, and no firearm-related decals at all on any of my vehicles.   That way, I can generally assume that if my vehicle is vandalized, the culprit is probably just a ticked-off Ole Miss fan, and not some MDA/Everytown wacko. :D
  9. Meh... are you listening, Hornady??? Now, THIS... would change EVERYTHING. Until then... go back to sleep.
  10. yeah, not bad there... especially the beer. :yum:
  11. Congrats, ReeferMac!
  12.   Unfortunately, it's a little too late for that in some cities... Memphis and Nashville in particular. Chattanooga's not far behind either.
  13. So glad I stocked up when it was $120 a crate (2 spam cans).
  14. Listening to one of my long time favorites today-- unfortunately, the group never was the same after Craig Fuller left.
  15. I guess using my Mosin M44 to do this is out of the question, huh? :shake:
  16. Aw, c'mon... ever since he lost his FFL, "Kwik-r-Nu" has gotta sell his stuff someplace, I guess he figures might as well be here... so what if he disputes a charge or three on Paypal?... give the guy a break-- he's had a rough couple of years...  :jester:       Seriously though, David, I wouldn't do it personally, but I understand your frustration. It's your call, man.
  17. Good info. Unfortunately in terms of anti-gunners, you can't fix stupid, no matter what the facts bear out. Any time pertinent facts are brought to the anti-gunners' table, their response is pretty much like the kid in school who covers his ears and screams "lalalalala... I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" Willful ignorance is absolutely the worst kind.
  18. I had never had a flu vaccine until I was 51. I had never had the flu until I was 50. That one bout was enough to convince me to start getting them... particularly since I ain't getting any younger. I was never a conspiracy theorist on flu shots (or fluoridated water either), I just never needed them.   So yeah, I'm getting one... I threw my tin-foil hat away years ago.
  19. Unless the OP has a singularly nefarious intent (which I certainly hope is NOT the case), the point of all this is moot. In terms of a nationwide confiscation scenario, the results would be disastrous, no matter who has access to the 4473 records. Yes, the scenario in the video is hypothetical, but well thought out.   https://youtu.be/bnoFKskvSq4
  20.   The Rifle range is 200 yds. max., so it's pretty short for a Barrett-- however, steel targets are permitted beginning at the 100 yd. mark. But Grady (the owner) confirmed with me last Saturday (10/3/15) that they DO allow them. Range closes at 6pm sharp, and he is pretty strict on that so that neighboring landowners don't complain about after-hours noise levels. Any rifle outside of full-auto is permitted on the rifle range. Full-auto is restricted to the shotgun pit. Shotguns are permitted in the pit (any load), and on the trap ranges (trap/dove loads only). Not sure if there are rifle range restrictions on Tannerite targets, but there may be-- I've never taken any out there, so I don't know.
  21.   OK  Corral-- was there this weekend. Shotguns no problem, regardless of ammo type. Was talking to the owner (Grady) and he said that they even allow Barrett rifles on the rifle range. A bit of a drive from East Nashville, but the thing to do is bring a bunch 'a guns, ammo, targets and some lunch, and pay your flat $5.00 range fee and make a day outing. Whenever I go, I spend time on multiple ranges... the same 5 bucks covers you all day for everything except the cost of clay targets (if you shoot on the trap range).
  22.   Worth the wait. They said 4-6 weeks on mine, and it was 3.5 weeks in reality.
