  1. Can't wait til you hit that 25,000th post!
  2.   So does this imply that the Commissioner chooses to hold his hands over his ears and eyes, and just pretend that T.C.A. 39-17-1311( b )(H) doesn't even exist now?   This is stupid. Bureaucrat city. With purposeful ignorance like this, it puts every HCP holder in jeopardy of potentially confrontational encounters with STUPID and uninformed park personnel. I guess he's waiting for the AG to crap a golden egg for an opinion?
  3.   It's all about "taste". Some folks like water, and some folks like beer. I prefer a beer that will assault my tastebuds rather than one that has no taste. I also prefer the porter & stout family over the lager family, but there are some good lager out there if you look for them. For a real adventure though, give Arrogant Ba$tard ale or Double Ba$tard ale a try sometime-- I consider them the last word in IPAs. A single bottle of that stuff contains more hops than the entire state of Washington!
  4. Just go out and blow one 50 rnd. box. It'll do your psyche good.   by the way, Go Dogs! I'm class of '85 myself.
  5. I was able to pick up 3 bricks myself. Some of the stuff stayed up for as much as 20 minutes before selling out. Wrote about it here:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/64367-wow-im-impressed/
  6. Today MidwayUSA had a restock on several lines of .22LR ammo-- various stuff-- HP, subsonic, hi-velocity, etc.   Usually when I get a product notification on .22 from them, it's gone even before I can blink, and if it still shows in stock, it's gone before I can even complete my cart/order. But not this time. At least two different products stayed in stock for over 20 minutes. That's real progress. Don't know whether they had an extremely large order come in, or if this week's political chess game made any difference (i doubt it), but for almost ANY reasonably priced .22 to remain in stock at MidwayUSA for more than 3 minutes is almost unheard of these days.   Got lucky this time, but got majorly dinged on shipping since I had to place 3 separate orders to even ensure that my cart wasn't cleared before checkout! I'll sure be glad when regular stores are able to keep .22LR in stock for more than 20 minutes.
  7. Very fitting for someone whose company has, for 160 years, been peddling a substandard product that resembles diabetic horse pi$$. Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Mr. Busch.
  8. If you reach the level of 25,000 posts you are given the title of "gunpowder sycophant". If you reach 50,000 posts your title becomes "has no life offline". And if you reach the 100,000 post level, what the hell are you doing here? You should be writing healthcare legislation!
  9. One of the best caricatures I have seen in quite a while. :usa:
  10. Prices Collision Center.   Their commercials are extremely annoying, but the do very good work. I had hailstorm damage about a 1.5 years ago and they did a fantastic job.
  11.   I have eaten it, and will eat it again. However, I always make sure that I am within reasonable distance of "the facilities". That XXX hot tastes great, but it's like a gastric A-bomb.
  12.   Sooooo... what have ya got against Glocks? :D
  13. but, but, but they're just hapless victims of Brady-itis... cut them a little slack! Interesting how folks with virtually no moral compass suddenly have an "epiphany" when it suits their agenda. I have no use for folks who use a weathervane to rule their beliefs or their integrity. Machiavelli was right.
  14. You can also hit the bottom of it with a quality silicone spray sealant, or even a few coats of clear enamel spray. This will help retard any rusting.
  15.   Yes. I did it at the end of January, and I didn't receive my upgraded membership packet until March. However, my online membership status was upgraded about 2-3 weeks after I did it They are running pretty far behind on the mail packets but it will get there.   If you already had an annual membership like I did, try logging in on their website and check to see if your status has been updated to life member.
  16. Nice. Like yourself, I had a Ruger 44mag carbine years ago. When I was a starving college student I foolishly sold it to an uncle of mine who lived in Alaska. Never replaced it. I miss that gun-- it was a great deer rifle for the woods & plains of Alabama back when I was growing up.
  17. I was hoping that this thread was about a gun auction raising funds to support a candidate to replace Lamar Alexander. :dropjaw:   I was mistaken.
  18. thanks for the info. I'm sitting pretty in the 54R dept, but may pick some up just to hedge against the future cost. Available surplus inventories will certainly not get any bigger, particularly if the UN has its way.
  19. Don't know why, but I just love the visual imagery on this one. "Ah smells carrots a-cookin'-- and whar thar's carrots, thar's rabbits." "Now git back under that thar waterfall, ya long-eared galoot!"
  20. LCP-- I'm wondering how you can tell how many they have left? I've looked all over the listing at AIM and I can't find an inventory counter of any type for this ammo. Just asking.
  21. And the price just keeps going up.   Even so, I was at a rather large LGS yesterday, and they wanted $300 a crate (2 cans) for the exact same stuff. I just shook my head and left. Insane.
  22. Good thing that the rebel flag sunscreen on the rear window of my truck helps to conceal my loaded 30-30 in the gun rack. That way it draws less attention to me whenever I'm cruising through the rich part of town blasting Skynyrd on my 8-track at 3 in the morning. :jester:   All kidding aside, The OP's question is not a stupid one. Always better to find out for sure before you attempted it.
  23.   That's only because our lives are meaningless as unwashed peons under the current administration... I mean, we also cling to our guns and our religion.. right? not much else for us to do-- it's too darn expensive to go to the range, might as well sit on the couch and get brainwashed like everyone else. :panic:   or... at least that's what "they" wish we would do.
  24. O.S.-- yeah, that field is not there yet in my profile.   Guess I'll have to post more to the Kim Kardashian thread to boost my post count. :dirty:
