  1. Not everything we want yet, but the first step in the right direction, and better than the existing patchwork of local BS knife ordinances.   What is the effective date on the new law? Immediately, or July 1?
  2.   Same here, but these are strange times for ammo products. Time will tell.
  3.   Same here-- my belly works as good as a table.
  4. Although most items are probably drop-shipped from the manufacturer's warehouse, I would hate to think that Cabela's is actually taking advance orders on stuff that they know they do not have in stock.
  5. "Welcome to New Jersey... hope you You WILL enjoy your stay! Your papers, please." When you continually vote leftists into office year after year, this is what you get. Most of the time you get what you deserve and vice-versa.
  6.   Fortunately, the shelf life of ammo is much longer than most foodstuffs.
  7. Here's mine--- I run into a bit of an issue on pocket-carry, though.
  8.   Don't get me started. :ignore: However, I think the example you cite is a clear case demonstrating how pricing policy will eventually affect availability. It's good to see some things returning to the shelf, even if I'm not ready to pay the higher price for them at this time. Even so, Outpost is a sponsor here, and I have no reason to trash them unnecessarily. The market is very slowly correcting itself as product becomes available and hoarding desperation winds down.
  9.     True... I just didn't want a bunch of folks to get their hopes up on an estimated "5/24" ship date. They will get it eventually, though.
  10. Don't hold your breath on Cabelas back orders. I've had a 250rnd back-order on American Eagle 124gr. 9mm since January of this year. I'll get it eventually, but they've pushed back the anticipated ship date on 3 separate occasions. Each time, they sent me an email asking if I wanted to cancel the order-- like I would give up an order placed at "normal" prices in hopes that I might place the order later at "new" prices.   yeah... riiiiight.
  11. His son is a better fisherman than himself, despite the bulky life-jacket.
  12.   I agree with that policy. If I'm looking for a holster or if I intend to unholster my firearm in any way, I always go outside to completely clear it first, or I clear it before entering.
  13. I have mine changed per the schedule listed in the owners manual.
  14. $crew the International MF'ers. Without the US this entity wouldn't even exist. If they had their way, the IMF would suck every dollar this country has.
  15. The first few times I carried in Bass Pro Shop, I did like the sign said and went to the service desk to check my firearm. After being told on 3 separate occasions that I was "OK" (without them even looking at my firearm or my permit), I just quit "checking" it. Now I just stroll in the door with it on my hip, and I've never been questioned at all.
  16. I ain't buyin' nuthin' from nobody, except the occasional .22mag, .45ACP and .357mag that I happen to find at Walmart, Academy or Bass Pro Shop-- or when I find a "good" deal on line-- even so, with purchase limitations, the shipping stinks. My most recent order from Midway will be my last one for a while. I'm pretty well set on the other 7 calibers that I shoot, and I ain't camping out for nobody.
  17. Welcome to TGO!
  18. TrickyNicky--   I bought my Henry H0001 (standard model) at Bass Pro Shops back in February. When I first got it, the action was incredibly dry right out of the box. When I first opened it up, I test-loaded it right away. When I loaded it to capacity with LR (15 rnds), it didn't want to load the first round from the magazine. I was using Aguila unplated 22lr 40gr solid point. I stripped all of the ammo out, and gave it a thorough lubricating, including the feed ramp, mag tube and tube plunger. I then reloaded it with the same ammo, and it's worked like a charm since then. I've fed it several types of Remington, Winchester X, Aguila and CCI ammo, all LR ammo. No problems since I did the lube job and ran a few hundred rounds through it. However, your problem seems to be with 22short, and I haven't tried any of that yet.
  19.   Do you mind mentioning what kinds (brand, lead, jacketed, hp, etc) of ammo you had issues with? Mine eats just about anything I throw in it.
  20. Is woefully unaware that Twinkies can and do expire-- turning a lovely green moldy color in the process.
  21. bagpipes for me, please.
  22. I guess you can put me in the category of weird people who find spiders absolutely fascinating. I advocate "catch & release" for all species except Brown Recluse. I put recluse spiders in the same category as cockroaches. I don't have a problem with Widows though. However, my favorites are the big, highly beneficial black/yellow garden spiders-- some of the most amazing structural engineers in nature's realm.
  23. Sounds like the jig may be up then... back to $1000 for now. They'll probably do it again toward the end of the year or beginning of next year though.
