  1.     I know where you're coming from. the great .22 drought of 2013 caught a lot of folks with their pants down, since in the past .22 has pretty much always been like BB's and .177 pellets-- relatively cheap and easily available. Not so much anymore.   I'm glad I was ready this time around.
  2. Sounds to me like what you guys are saying is that a "brick of WWB" is really that-- just a "brick" and not good for much else...might make a good doorstop though.
  3. awesome-- meme saved for future distribution
  4. I stay as far away from cholera as possible-- :hiding:
  5. Both of my Bersas are .45UCP's. Haven't shot one of the .22 models, but they do seem to be pretty plentiful. Seems like every gun store has one.
  6.   tell that to the preppers.
  7. Gonna miss this one, hopefully will be able to make the next one. I've met some nice folks out there before...
  8.       awesome. Thanks for the info.
  9.   Cool. I don't live anywhere near there, but I'm up there from time to time on business-- please keep us informed as details develop.
  10. .17 Hornet is the ideal cure for armadillos. Otherwise it's a royal mess to clean up-- and I ain't touching a dead one without disposable gloves.
  11.   Really? Where?   It's not on their website map yet, so it's obviously not in operation yet.
  12. Still not going to be able to make this one... one of my bands is still booked pretty much all weekend.   Have Fun!
  13.   Yes, Welcome t.bird   And always remember, that if you want to keep these freedoms in Tennessee (we could always use more, you know), when exercising your civic duty, PLEASE vote for the person, NOT the party. Simply voting for a person because they have an "R" or "D" beside their name is no guarantee that you have supported either a Pro2A or Anti-2A candidate. We have our share of political wolves in sheep's clothing, so be sure you know where your candidate stands before you support them.
  14. Welcome, Eric. I'm in the 'Boro too, and OK Corral in Woodbury is THE place to shoot around here.
  15.   Not particularly-- but it's not an ultra-popular round either... and often what little may be out there is getting bought up by folks that don't know the difference between 22WMR and 22LR... there's more of these people than you think.
  16.    I know whatcha mean. 22WMR is even more scarce than 22LR right now.
  17.   If you don't douse 'em in black pepper and Tabasco, you ain't livin'.
  18. It's a tie between Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown.
  19. In a college town like Murfreesboro, I've seen some weird things in Wal-Mart after hours. Drunk & bored college students get pretty inventive sometimes. This list doesn't surprise me at all.
  20.   No, I was referring to exposing the Democrats in a vote-- which will accomplish absolutely nothing unless 21 Dems get a brain by the end of the week.  I DO agree with exposing the party-line RINOS... I guess that would be a small moral victory of sorts, but it ain't gonna stop the runaway train.
  21.     I doubt it-- a similar scenario has been going on for years in the state of California, and it doesn't matter anymore. The inmates are already running the asylum. It's a different scenario from the 1980 election, when most folks still had some notion of common sense and hadn't been "bought" by some form of government largess.
  22.   I agree. At this point, the token attempt to "de-fund" the program is a shallow exercise in futility. At best, it would take 67 strong votes in the Senate-- because a presidential veto of ANY bill de-funding Obamacare is inevitable. Sorry folks, but hell will freeze over before 21 Senate Democrats vote for any sort of de-funding mechanism. If the strategy is to simply call them out by "putting their vote on record", that's pretty futile too. Low-info voters have very little to virtually no memory of anything political that is more than one week old. In this particular case, Republicans taking a stand on principle have already lost. It's better to let this fiasco play out... even if the results are a replay of Greece-- at least maybe THAT will get their attention.   The Republican leadership in both congressional houses is almost devoid of any sense of politcal strategy-- much less any perception of the will of the unwashed masses.     Regarding the original topic, as much as I like Alan West and would vote for him in a heartbeat, The MSM will do their level best to not only controversialize the "retirement" issue, but they will also do their utmost to portray him as an "Uncle Tom."   It's the "Clarence Thomas" strategy.
  23. One of my bands has gigs Fri. night in Franklin and Sat. night in Knoxville that weekend, so I doubt I'll make this one, but it's a great idea.
