  1. And that if you don't factor in the interest it would have made you in a good mutual fund, real estate or some other investment. Once you factor that in I'm afraid I'm with you Red. You would have to just REALLY want solar. Oh and after the 15-20yrs Red mentioned I would think the batteries would need to be replaced. I have no idea about the battery life, they may last longer of less but either way eventually you will be replacing them and having to start the amortizing all over again. One day our battery technology will catch up to the rest of the components and be less expensive to get into. Just my $0.02
  2. Congrats! I think you will be quite pleased with your choice.
  3. Yes sir you did, i think anyone on the first 2 pages did. The guy at the post office looked at me kind of funny. I wasn't sure if i could get away with using a standard business envelope or if I was going to have to buy the padded ones and pay shipping charges. I walked in with my sample envelope and 2 suture sets and laid in front of the guy and asked if i could send it like that and if so, how many stamps would it take. He told me what i needed and i told him to set me up with enough to send out 22 just like it. He got a puzzled look on his face and said "i can't help it, i gotta ask, do you know a bunch of clumsy folks?" lol I just said yes and left it at that. You should be seeing them in the next day or so.
  4. Okay i sent David a PM so as soon as he gets back to me i'll post the answer.
  5. Not sure about that, I assumed it would be easy since he is set up to accept benefactor funds. I'm not sure how to summon him but i will try sending a PM and maybe he can leave instruction here.
  6. Okay folks I just left the post office and sent them all on their respective paths. I suspect you should see them by the end of the week. Most have asked about shipping cost and rather than sending me money I think I've got a better idea. If you want to donate a dollar or 2 to TGODavid for site efforts instead I'm good with that. I hope no one has to use these but glad everyone is a bit better prepared.
  7. Sounds like you've got a good one!
  8. Folks this probably goes without saying BUT everyone that is receiving one of these should at bare minimum find an online tutorial on using these. I would hate for the need to arise and be faced with the reality that you have no idea what to do or worse case cause bigger problems for the patient. My guess is that if you are aware enough to be adding this to your kit then you either know or are smart enough to learn. Just covering all the bases.
  9. I will let you know. I had more PM's that showed up in my email than showed up here so so i'm probably completely cleaned out for now. When i come across the other box i'll sure let you know.
  10. Okay folks, I'm gonna cut it off right here. If I get everyone suited and there are more left I'll re post them.
  11. Down to about 12 unspoken for. Never guessed there would be so much interest. Like i said earlier, if i come across the other box i'll put them up here for those that don't get a chance this time.
  12. Okay Erik, Pm me when you can with your info but i'll go ahead and put you in line.
  13. Okay guys i have looked at all PM's (still have a couple to reply to) and after counting them up i've still got around 17-18 left. I'm doing this on a first come basis. I Think i may have a few more in another box but haven't made it there yet so for right now the 17-18 are all that are left unspoken for.
  14. All PM's responded to i think. Guys if you will Pm your info to me i'm building a list and will get them out in the next couple of days. Thanks, Luke
  15. I'm not sure. If I can send them cheaply (should be able to) ill cover it. If it gets to being to expensive then I'll have to stop but for right now they are completely free.
  16. Hey folks, I've got quite a number of individual Suture sets that i will send out to those who would like to have them to add to their first aid kits. Just let me know. I will ship them until they are gone or there is no longer interest. Also mods. if this needs to be in another area let me know. It just seemed like the best place for it.
  17.   I think you are spot on here. I don't always read reviews of products that i am after online but due to anyone being able to set themselves up online, you can bet i am going to check feedback on the person/business i'm buying it from. I'm also quite good at leaving feedback and try hard to not leave negative feedback unless given no choice (Like Castor and friend).
  18. I'll take a look. It's not a huge deal and I won't lose any sleep over it if it stays the way it is from here on out. The only time that I really thought "hey I should check on that" was when i was driving and had layed my pistol on the console and my dog ( who hates cigarette smoke with a passion) got pretty worked up about our neighbor at the traffic light smoking. She bounced around there and stomped her big paw on the pistol and made me nervous. While I won't make that mistake again it just had me thinking.
  19. I don't put it on the same level as a Glock trigger safety. The Glock setup is actually 2 pieces and is a little better than the M&P setup in my opinion. I'm well aware of how to handle a firearm the correct way and I'm also used to flipping a safety on and off on each of my other firearms. If the M&P external safety weren't so similar to my other firearms I prolly wouldn't even consider it but it is. It doesn't look as though I have the option anyways. Btw I would be very content with the Glock trigger safety if it didn't have a Glock frame wrapped around it. Great guns but feel weird in my hand.
  20. The little flex trigger safety is a joke. You pull the trigger to fire the pistol and you pull the trigger to disengage the safety. Seems like to me that if something happened that would cause the trigger to be depressed that the safety would accomplish nothing. My trigger doesn't know my index finger from anything else. Just a personal preference I guess.
  21. Well it would only be half as much trouble as you thought because i would only buy and not sell. I don't think i could get rid of this one. Calling S&W sounds like a good idea, i didn't think about that. I'll give them a call or email and see what they say.
  22. Well i looked again just to make sure but i have no square hole. I got a little excited about being able to do this but now that excitement has turned into disappointment.  I guess if it ever starts to bother me to much i'll just go buy one with the external safety already in place. But man do i hate buying more guns HA
