Range report: EAA Witness Elite 10MM and 13rd Mossy 930 12g
Luke E. replied to musicman's topic in Show and Tell
I was there all afternoon. When were you guys there? -
I just thought the same thing last night. He used to be on here all the time and then just disappeared.
-
I wasn't aware that 35rem and 44 mag shared load data.
-
I've had folks "take care" of me on many occasions and that includes some here on TGO so when I get the chance I try to do the same.
-
I just recently started hanging onto the 10mm brass when doing my sorting so I don't have much at all but I will start hanging onto any I find for you. I think I've got about half of a quart ziplock of them unless I've given them to someone else already.

-First sentence = "I don't mean it's a terrible job." Hey, First sentence, yea you, get ready to be contradicted. -Fourth sentence = "long term boring shitass job" -Last sentence = "it is boring drudgery" BTW there are women on our forum as well so in the name of showing them respect I would suggest editing the end of sentence 3. Just my :2cents:

Welcome aboard, Omega. Hope you find TGO to be hospitable.

Me think the gentleman you spoke with was getting burn rate and velocity mixed up. One could always drop the charge weight down if they were going to fast for the coating. I like TG and almost every pistol round I have and have shot over the past few years are or have been loaded with it and I have no problems with uncoated cast bullets so you'd definitely be good to go with coated ones.

You must have bumped your damn head. It's not often that I find someone on TGO nearly impossible to "digest" but...... Geez.. Here are the definitions of negative, as a noun, -noun 1. a word or statement that expresses denial, disagreement, or refusal. as an adjective, -adjective 1. consisting in or characterized by the absence rather than the presence of distinguishing features. 2. (of a person, attitude, or situation) not desirable or optimistic. "the new tax was having a very negative effect on car sales" synonyms: pessimistic, defeatist, gloomy, cynical, fatalistic, dismissive, antipathetic, critical; More I'd say most of your comments, whether you'll admit it or not, fit within there somewhere. Would it hurt you to much just to say "congrats" or something along those lines and save the rest for the minimalist support groups? I personally find you and your "logic" absolutely fascinating but I get the impression that I may be alone. I will suggest that you don't attack others with a big F-bomb though because stupidity and/or ignorance seldom gets someone banned but that kind or behaviorvery likely could.

I may have already mentioned this earlier in the thread but can't remember, I have quite a number of friends that either have or still do work for Yates or Nissan and most all of them are doing quite well for themselves and their families.. I hate to mention it but they seem to be doing well enough for themselves that they can buy the "evil stuff" like such as boats, campers, guns and ATV's ( I know you're pretty big on the last two at least). Seriously though, Several guys I went through school with (around 33yrs old) have now been there 14-15yrs and don't have any desire to leave. Something tells me that if it were such a terrible place to be (as someone might have you to believe) Yates and Nissan's turnover rate would be much much higher. I hope you find it a job that you can enjoy going to! Congrats!

You DO NOT believe in personal liberty! You believe in your own personal liberty even when it trashes someone else's.
-
So basically your rights are the only ones that matter. I get it now. Sorry about the thread crapping OP. I got into this and completely forgot that this wasn't its own thread.
-
Exactly
-
It was not meant to be rational. It was meant to illustrate the lunacy of your idea that you can do whatever you want whether you own the property or not. I'm not arguing against gun rights but am arguing against your apparent ignorance of another of our very important rights, private property ownership rights. I have and do sometimes carry where I'm prohibited but I have got the good sense to know that their rights still trump mine while on their property. You can't just pick and choose which rights are legit.
-
I take it you've not spent much time studying the constitution. What you do have the right to do is to stay off of property owned by someone that imposes rules that you don't agree with. If you come on my property acting in any manner other than I choose, you become unwelcome and I will ask/force you to leave.
-
By your reasoning, your study group partner should be able to take a crap in the middle of your dining room table. His need to do so must trump the property owners irrational fear of it being unhealthy.... Right ab?

[quote name="ab28" post="1176938" timestamp="1407502289"] "private property rights stuff have too much control in their lives." Private property rights stuff? So maybe we should all just turn over all of our possessions so that we can end this "madness" right now! Sound about right ab28? "It's like carrying. I've gone to people's houses for study groups and knowing they hated guns. I carried anyways, because I don't have to follow irrational beliefs just because I am on someone's property. My personal safety trumps their property rights" Where did you learn this ^? Where have you been the whole time the state of TN has been debating whether or not folks could carry on the way to work and leave the weapon in the car on premises? I mean damn! We should have just taken you before the judge so you could educate him on private property rights and how little they're worth.

Read the post you made before this one and then come back and read this one. Ray Charles could see that there are no similarities. You told him a job that he is obviously happy and proud to have sucks in great detail. This forum is as great as it is because even when someone buys something that we wouldn't buy, likes something that may not be our choice or is happy to have a new job that others may not care to have, we are still happy that they're happy with their choice a certainly don't go around bashing it. I find the way you've chosen to live, a bit odd but I'm tickled to death that you enjoy it and certainly won't tell you it sucks or that it's stupid, etc. although it does seem to have made you quite negative towards others and their accomplishments.

did a little upgrading to the 300blk so help me decide

I think the grip angle looks so different because the picture is,,, "squished". Look at the ejection port and mag well, almost looks like they're for a pistol cal. I assume i'm not just seeing things, Ron Padilla? I'd say definitely go ahead and paint the whole thing. Mines painted from end to end, only thing I taped off was the glass on the red dot. Of course I've changed out a handful of components since then so I really need to run back over it. -
Yep, some folks just can't grasp the idea of not using the same torque on tiny screws as they would on a set of dump truck lug nuts... Anyways, I do believe that it was a T09 base but I will certainly check as soon as I get to the house. If I have them and they'll work for you then they're yours. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

Hey Sidewinder, I replaced the 10/22 factory weaver rail on mine with a pic rail and i'm almost certain that it came with new screws that I used. I kept everything from the swap so if what you're looking for is the factory screws then I probably have what you need. I am in Florida right now but am heading back to Murfreesboro at 6-6:30 am tomorrow and can check as soon as I get home. Like I said, if the replacement rail came with new screws then I will have the originals. Let me know if that's what you're needing.

Do you remember what year brass it was that was getting split necks, Ishel? I'm only curious because in my own and several friend's experiences it has been great brass. Privi does an excellent job of annealing their mil-spec brass but I can't remember if their commercial offerings are annealed or not. Just wondering if there's a certain year that I need to swing wide of?
-
I've not run any .308 privi but have run .45, 9mm and quite a bit of .223 and have not had any issues at all. The brass reloads very well too.
