I'll leave it to the legal scholars on here to debate the legality of the transaction, but if you were wary or uncomfortable at all then I would say yes, you made the right call regardless of law. Of course, it could be argued that you were only wary because there are thousands of laws on the books regarding the transactions that have made us, as gun owners, ridiculously paranoid.

Spent many a weekend on the Ocoee up around the blue hole and camping up in Greasy Creek and Chilhowee Lake when I was a young man. Not too far from where I grew up in Charleston, TN.

I guess one thing to compare by is that Tennessee had an average SAT score of 1709 while the national average for the same year (2013) is 1498. We actually far outperformed some of the perceived "more intelligent" states (Cali clocked in at 1505 - just sayin'). Cant always base it on college degrees because of personal choices. Maybe we ain't so damned dumb after all? http://testprep.about.com/od/satscores/l/bl_SAT_Scores_By_State.htm

Very nice! -
Beauregard the Wonder Dog. Bo for short. And yes, I am old enough to remember Hee Haw.

Hope everyone made it home OK. Turned into a nice day here about 45 minutes ago.... On another note, the Southeast Victory Rally will be in Helen, Ga. I plan on riding down either Thursday the 29th or Friday 30th. Anyone interested in riding down, shoot me a PM.

Supposed to rain here all weekend. While I have ridden through some nasty weather, I prefer not to. Sorry. Great idea, though.
-
Looking like rain on the 10 day forecast. Something to watch as the 18th gets closer.

I hear the critics have said it was a strained effort.....

Well, when and where? I just had a nice, 7 hour round trip ride (including stops, etc.). Windy as all get out, though.

There aren't words to describe the emotions I felt when watching that.

I am a couple hours away, but would be interested. Riding either a 2012 Victory Vegas or a 2014 Victory Cross Country, depending on what mood strikes me.

I have pulled some darn fine large mouth out of Wolftever.

Parksville Lake at Greasy Creek is some respectable Crappie fishing. Grasshopper Lake, also. I recommend a light jig head with a red top and chartreuse body. Find the appropriate depth and fish it under a floater on an ultra light rig. When retrieving, "pop" the float a couple of times, reel up the slack and repeat. This gets the jig "swinging" under the float and the crappie (and just about everything else) love it. Especially around stump beds, fallen trees, and other structure. Good luck!

Who knew that a two word original post could be so thought provoking? I mean, really, please delete? All of the symbolism of a Warhol without all of the visual clutter. I, myself, have pondered these two words and how existential they truly are. TDR, you are a philosopher wise beyond your years.

My wife likes to say "This meal cost $2.35 (or other ridiculously low $ amount) for all of us. We have leftovers for tomorrow, as well.". That makes her day. She is scientific with it, as well. Keeps a purchase and price log on her iPad per product. Scans it into the app when she is putting away groceries and the corresponding $ per product. She'll have a receipt that is longer than I am tall (6'6") and have a total cost of about $30. Amazing.

Several years back my wife became unemployed. She decided since she was not earning, she would find ways to reduce our expenses. One of those ways was to attend a "Time to Save" coupon course. This was probably 6 years ago. She has it to a science now and will leave places like CVS with a bill of $0 and a coupon for x amount for the next time she visits. She's good.

My wife is one of the "coupon queens". While we don't do the drastic 300 jars of peanut butter kind of thing (the group she meets with certainly discourages the extreme coupon thing seen on TV), we still only spend about $100 monthly to feed a family of 4 and two dogs.... Not too shabby considering we were spending $150-200 per week before.

I reread yours, Jonnin and understand now... :)

Think you got the descriptions backwards. Cleveland is a small/medium (around 50k) and Chattanooga is a medium city (around 225k). http://www.chattanoogarifleclub.org/ http://www.chrpc.com

On the lighter side - how NOT to fish with a hand grenades

However, it is a little frustrating. I can't even find .22 and these aholes have grenades.... So unfair. -

I have watched this like 5000 times. Doesn't get old... -
Sorry, I spoke out of line. I intended humor, but it did not come across that way.

Agree. Each situation has to feel evaluated for what it is. I can't blame a man for being protective of his family.
