  1. I really really really really LOVE this knife. When you get ready to sell, you'll have a waiting list a mile long, including me. This really strikes me as a Mel Pardue or Steven Kelly type knife, and they've had a tremendous amount of success. Looks like you have found your calling, my friend.
  2. Wasn't really referring to the Seal Pup Elite as a carry knife, since it is over 4". I do, however, carry a SOG pentagon mini (3.5") from time to time . Camping trips, though, are the SPE all the way. JT, you may not one to buy one of these knives, because the first one is never the last one. I picked up the Twitch II several years back at a gun show, and it turned out to be the first of 6 of 'em. I'm actually considering the Vulcan right now.
  3. Yeah, I had a pretty good time. It was my 8 year old son's 1st show. He's been shooting several years now, but had never been to one. It was not nearly as exciting as he had hoped lol! I think he kept waiting for folks to start test firing weapons, so by the end of the day, he was pretty bored. I did manage to pick up a NIB Remington 700 VTR in .22-250 and a few boxes of ammo for a pretty good deal, so I was happy.

    wow.

And since you'll be spending so much extra time excercising, I'll be available to babysit any firearms that are in your way. LOL!
  5. Good_Steward

    wow.

TDR, you'll be surprised at how fast that excess weight will come off with healthy eating and excercise. I don't think that anyone will ever gain anything by "dieting". that is basically a way of saying "I'm going to drop weight, short term". The key is healthy, consistent meals and excercise. Basically, a lifestyle change. The weight will come off a lot slower when you get closer to an optimum weight, but I promise that if you stay motivated, and stick to a plan, a lot of it'll come off FAST. Good luck, TDR, we're all rooting for ya.
  6. I have a 550B, and LOVE it. You can not go wrong with this press.
  7. Good_Steward

    wow.

good job TDR. Those miles will come easier and easier. Before you know it, you'll be running those miles.
  8. Got that right, especially the friendly atmosphere part. Plus, it was an easy location for people like you and me. Run down to the bottom of the Mountain, turn left, guns. Ed's a darn fine guy, and I miss him and his shop. Look at me, moaning, groanin', and whining like a little girl LOL!
  9. Well, I've already written Richard Floyd and Bo Watson asking them to stick to their guns, so to speak, and push this through, regardless of what Bredesen thinks.
  10. the General Assembly will override him. I would find it very surprising if he did anything at all.
  11. Good_Steward

    wow.

lol Dave, their slogan should be "When you're just not in that big of a hurry"
  12. Good_Steward

    wow.

Mike, is this the golf cart you were referring to? Mike's "other" ride.
  13. yeah, in order I would say: Ruger, Taurus, Stoeger, S&W, Bersa, with the last two being interchangeable. You can probably buy a used CZ 75B for that price, and that, as far as I am concerned, is the best 9mm ever made.
  14. Well, it certainly is encouraging to see Tennessee giving the middle finger to big brother. Time for them to remember that the government IS ran by the people, not the other way around.
  15. Nice! Looks like CCA did a fine job, even though the price seemed high, it's better than waiting until your on death's doorstep to get 'em back. I love the parkerized finish. My first two guns were given to me as Christmas presents, a Marlin 60 @ 7yrs old, and an H&R single shot 12 gauge when I was 9, by my now deceased Grandmother. The guns aren't hardly worth the price of the parkerizing, but sentimental value wins every time, and now I have a finish that'll last at least my lifetime to pass those old guns along.
  16. I've been looking at the ATI and Tapco stocks for my mini 14. Does anyone have any experience, good or bad, with them? My concern is the quality of the product, ease of installation, and whether it adversely affects accuracy. Any insight from you fine folks, and some not so fine , would be helpful to my decision. Thanks!
  17. This guy is a moron. What would he have done if the guy was actually headed on a call? I'm no supporter of anyone that breaks the law, LEO or private citizen, and it seems that both of these guys are idiots that were breaking the law.
  18. Just someone else looking for something to be offended about.
  19. Also, if he wants to look at Derringer type pistols, he may want to think about one in 22 Win Mag. Vicious little rounds for sure. I have a Marlin 925 in 22 mag, and it's deadly on crows and other small varmints (I've killed racoons with it at 100, never even moved, just fell over) up to 125 yards. I imagine a center mass shot at 1 - 2 yards would really put a serious hurtin' on someone.
  20. People underestimate the .22. I'll tell you something right now, if I'm looking down the barrel of anything, I don't care if it's a .22 or a 500 Smith, I'm leaving them the heck alone. That .22 will ricochet around and cause some serious damage, especially, as someone else said, if you're loaded with quality ammo like the CCI Mini Mag, Stinger, or Velocitor.
  21. Yeah, that's a pretty good area. If you take tasso all the way down to Old Charleston Rd, that's where I grew up. Big ol' dairy farm down there about 1/4 mile after you turn onto Old Charleston. Family still owns it, but I figured the Marine Corps was a better choice for me when I turned 18. Paid for school, and got me the heck off of the farm. lol
  22. Hey Arko, what area of Cleveland are you in? I grew up in the county up there, just right outside of the Charleston city limits.
  23. As of last year, the memorial auditorium didn't serve alchohol. Imagine my chagrin when I showed up for a Merle Haggard concert with no beer to be had. I thought that was some kind of law that you had to have a few beers when listening to singers of Haggard's genre. lol Kinda kills "Think I'll just stay here and drink"
  24. Yeah, Arko, and you can bet that after littlefields posturing, he'll do the best he can to make sure it stays that way "No matter what the State decides".
  25. Littlefield is just another posturing, political grandstanding, IDIOT. I hope every person inside the Chattanooga city limits contacts their Council representative and let them know they want them to tell ronny boy to go straight to . . . . Speaking of parks, maybe they should let ron go hang out at the park right off of Rossville blvd without security some late afternoon, or the one over in Orchard Knob.
