So I was inspired and started playing with some ideas...

I like it! Let us know when, where, and how. -
Wow as in the sub-titling on the second video. I am positive they thought they were going to be shot since there was very little control exhibited over the muzzle of the shotgun. Not sure, but it looked like they may have been waiting for whomever was shooting the shotgun to get off the range. May have been perspective, but it looked like she was way out in front of the shooting benches. Quidquid supernatat vestris navi.
-
Wow. Just... wow.
-
Gotcha. When you said you got them all the time, thought you were talking about requests at your Linkedin profile.
-
Then why would you have a Linkedin profile in the first place? Just curious.
-
:) Normally, it is someone you know, have worked with, business dealings, school, etc. I, personally, have not received a request from automation or straight spam.
-
Comes from the "so and so".
-
Yes, I did. I was hoping to hear back today, but i guess one working day is not a lot of lead time.
-
That's what I was looking for. Thanks, RW.
-
I must also mention that I have bought dozens of firearms from dealers without an issue. This is my first.
-
Thanks, Garufa. I asked. No response (didn't know) from the Academy gun gurus, and no phone # for the state on the paperwork. Only the fax#.
-
So, I've had my eye on a Sig 522, and finally went to Academy today to pick one up. Imagine my surprise when my TICS background check denied me the purchase! Anyway, I faxed the dispute as soon as I got home. I have seen these types on "denied" threads on here before, so I didn't get too wound up about it. My question is: How long does the dispute / appeal process take? Also, will i receive e-mail notification, phone call, etc., when it has been resolved? Any info is greatly appreciated!

Everything is now an "assault" weapon and selling

Got pics? First in line right here.... -
Scars add character. At least that's what all us folks with DA scars say....

May have been a feral searching for food. While I agree with the humans are a-holes comment, we are not necessarily the perpetrators in this particular instance. I am glad that everything has worked out.

People "scared" of eating non store bought food
I actually prefer the taste of wild game over the bland taste of farm raised. Anyone who has had wild turkey will confirm this. Dolomite
I love Wild Turkey, but after 4-5 shots, I really can't taste much difference in anything. -
The engineer in me was holding my breath the whole time thinking, "Man, this thing's got a high center of gravity!"
same exact thing i was thinking....
I love Redwings. I don't pay for them, work does, but I would probably buy them even if they money came out of my own pocket. I find them very comfortable (the non steel toed versions), and they last a very long time too.
Even the steel toes are comfortable. Worth the price. That being said, Georgia Boot is a fantastic boot in any size. Love the "Comfort Core" insoles.
I agree, with the exception of one thing. That third party has to be able to take votes equally from the Democrats as well. Take for example the Tea Party. IF it breaks away from the Republican Party, then you are effectively handing over just about every election to the Democrats. The only way I see that happening is if the third party is a moderate party.
We already have a moderate / left party. Unfortunately, It's called "Republicans". Just look at the last two Prez candidates. Heck, take the moderate part out at this point.
"Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public." "We get the government we deserve." - OS
OS, that is a painful truth. I guess at least my Tennessee brethren have the common sense to not want to be dragged down that hole with the blue states(at least not as fast).
I think Mitt is going to lose Florida too. He's behind and all that's really left is the Democratic strongholds. And now FOX says he lost NH too. I think the Fat Lady is warming up. Another thing, the Republicans look like they are going to lose seats in the Senate. The Dims have already turned 2 of them. The Republican Party better wake up after this election. It's not going to get any easier for them in the future. They cannot keep putting up candidates like Mourdock in Indiana and Akin in Missouri. By 2050 there are going to be more minorities voting than Caucasian and it looks like most of that vote will go to the Democrats. They have to get a handle on the minority vote and that will probably mean they will have to ditch the illegal alien mantra. If Obama wins tonight (and I think it looks more and more like he will) I hope he loses the popular vote and wins via the electoral college. That would stop the mandate claim. But he probably won't lose that either. Palin is on FOX and looks a bit shocked.
This is a mandate not for the Repubs, but for a strong, no BS third party candidate. We have pigeon-holed ourselves into believing that there are only 2 viable candidates for the Presidency. There needs to be an immediate course correction in our thinking.

I have to rant. I can't believe what we have become as Americans where we have someone leading in the presidential polls who extols the virtues of socialized healthcare and our "conservative" alternative who had passed it years ago. When did we as Americans quit fighting? When did we as Americans rely on our neighbors to support us? When did we as Americans decide to let the government tell us what we will and will not do, and bow gracefully (much like our incumbent bows)? When did we as Americans, a Free People, hand over our liberties not with a fight, but with an unheard of enthusiasm?? We have begged the government to relieve us of taking care of our parents and children, to let us not have to worry about tomorrow and better yet, not even think about tomorrow and the consequences? We have become fat, lazy, and complacent. We, all 300 million of us, should be ashamed that we didn't fight tooth and nail for the freedoms that countless Americans died to found and protect! I am very proud of our history, but horrified that it is nothing but history now. I see this country heading directly down the same path as every other nation that has become as dependent on their government as a dope head is his dealer!

It does not look good for Romney. I would like to think that the majority that the republicans have retained in the House will be a majority at getting a sanity check, but it hasn't been provided the last two years. Folks, personal responsibility, and people like me who live by it, are dinosaurs. Helluva lot easier to let the .gov worry about where the groceries are coming from. God help us all.
Well, I'm sorry about your whitetail hunting. Let me ask you a serious question... Did you happen to see a cougar about three years ago on Signal Mountain? It would have been the same color and size as a Florida Panther, or a tawny colored cat. If you did, I regret to inform you that the one you may have seen was killed. A farmer shot the cougar after missing a farm dog and several stock on his place. It had been seen several times on his property and his neighbors. The neighbor took several pictures of the cat while in the area. The pictures were clear and close enough to tell what it was without question, they will never be shown. The cat was buried within 2 hours of being shot on his farm using a Case backhoe. It was never reported and the farmer made it real clear that he did want it to be known. Four people attended the funeral. The farmer, his neighbor, a good friend, and myself.
I have heard the stories from other residents (including my in-laws) that they had heard the cat, but never an actual sighting. Always figured they had heard a bobcat, which are actually pretty common up here towards Edwards Point / Shackleford Ridge area, and to the other end headed in to Sequatchie. Also, was trying to interject some humor about my hunting prowess ........ or lack thereof.

I would argue that the rarest whitetail of all is the one who is even in the same area code that I am when whitetail hunting.
