So if I have GPS turned off, can any entity or application track or otherwise report my location? Also can GPS be turned on without my knowing it?

They are all scanned at most airports.

Seems to me the officer should have been on his best behavior with cameras rolling. Why would he intentionally make an azz out of himself when he knew cameras were rolling?

I agree. Just like a vehicle. Once you purchase it, you should be able to do with it as you please.

That definitely sounds advantageous, though I'm not sure how I could utilize that type of access. I would just need someone who knew what they were doing to fix everything that I don't like about the phone.

That's what I'm gathering. I could be wrong. I'm hoping it's like Vontar says. Hopefully someone will get on here who has done the update or knows the facts. When I was reading about the update before committing to install, one of the "improvements" was that it "removed location sharing consent". Whatever that means. It just didn't sound like something I wanted. Removal of the consent requirement on anything is generally bad.

If I'm understanding it correctly, you can't turn off the GPS location. I could be wrong. I keep mine turned off all the time anyway, so if you are still able to turn it off, it's no big deal.

I agree with this Marine whole heartedly. I did find it quite appalling that McCain "couldn't even respond to the accusation." Pretty pathetic that he wouldn't even address it. But I guess if he would have, all he could have said was, "Ok folks, which way is the gallows?".

Sometimes you have to push limits to gain ground. Look at the Boston Tea Party. I'd be willing to bet there were a LOT of people who didn't agree with that idea. I'm a pretty big fan but I'm sure there were people worried about the repercussions instead of what there was to gain. Also, this is a clear-cut issue in the 2nd Amendment. Laws against ANY kind of carry are UNCONSTITUTIONAL.

Goes back to the old saying " Just because you can doesn't mean you should. " That being said, I think it should be legal according to the Constitution.

Tenure is a HUGE problem in my opinion.

Kids are very impressionable. If a child is spending the better part of the day being indoctrinated with propaganda by teachers and influenced by punk trash kids, it's hard to erase that in the few hours you have with them at home. I will probably homeschool my kids through middle school, then send them to a private or public school for their high school years, when they have a good foundation and can filter the good knowledge from the :poop: .   NOTE: I am in no way bashing TEACHERS in general. I am a product of the public school system and had some great teachers and some that weren't so good. The CURRICULUM is the problem, along with the liberal extremist teachers, which I hope are the minority.
