My wife carries an 3" 1911 and wants some advice on the best way(s) to carry while running or exercising. We were thinking a belly band or carry shirt type thing. She's open to pretty much any method as long as it's on her person. I'm convinced she needs an XD-S .45 for this type situation...but she's not quite on board with that just yet. She wants to stick with her 1911. Your ideas and suggestions will be appreciated.

Hogs have a hell of a lot thicker skin and bones than people. Especially the cartilage shield on the big boars. Not saying a .223 won't do the job...just not the ideal caliber. If you don't make that perfect hit, you have a much greater chance of wounding the animal and losing it. I hate to see an animal die a slow death and not be utilized by the hunter.

I highly recommend the SJC Titan. Looks good and reduces what little recoil a 5.56 AR has to almost nothing and almost undetectable muzzle rise.

Good point, but I don't think most people would notice the difference between that and the TN flag. Unless they're fellow TGO'ers. And then I would certainly hope you wouldn't need to worry about them.

I agree. If it wasn't such a gigantic amount, we could probably make it happen. In the future, if we come across a good buy, I would entertain the idea of picking it up, with help on fuel of course.

Yes she has. Out of curiosity, what takes the extra discipline? I have a 1911 and I think it's probably the safest handgun I own based on it's operation. The operator is obviously what makes any firearm safe.
