  1. Run it with what?
  2. 250 with the matched thread protector.
  3. About 3 months ago I saw an article about threading model 41's for suppressor use. Accurate Ordnance - Threading the Smith Model 41 I sent my PC 41 to Accurate Ordinance to have the barrel threaded a few weeks ago. I got it back yesterday. It's a difficult barrel to thread as the entire unit is squared off and simply machining the end down to threads would look terrible. They bore the end of the barrel and turn threads inside for an adapter. Here is the finished product. Mike
  4. Strong people are harder to kill than weak people, and are more useful in general.
  5. You have an interesting definition of settling.
  6. I've been in both his shoes and the shoes of the guy behind the counter. I know #### happens and it's easy to start blaming people.
  7. Just because it was manufactured three years ago doesn't mean it has been sitting at the store the entire time. It most likely was in the distributors inventory for quite a period before On Target ordered it. Two weeks isn't exactly a reasonable time frame to expect your rifle to be repaired. To the OP, did you discuss your time frame objections with On Target? What was said? Mike
  8. So, because you got impatient and didn't allow on target to ship your rifle, that's their fault? Mike

    How many magazines?

PMAG's are good to go. I don't know what you are trying to say. Mike
  10. DI I've had both, neither has had any major issues over the span of 7-10k rounds each.. Buy a quality DI gun. They're lighter, use standard parts, and work just as well. Mike

    How many magazines?

However many you can afford. Magazines are a consumable item. They wear out, break, and stop working. Better to have enough.
  12. Same here. I own the stuff I want. I just can't possess it until the overlords say so.
  13. Why is it so hard? The customers...
  14. Can I run my appendix holster?
  15. Parasympathetic response.
  16. It won't bust your hand. Try it some time.
  17. Look at Huntertown Arms. Their can is a little bit bigger than the sparrow, but it is also lighter and much less expensive. Around 200, which is fantastic for a user serviceable can. It's very quiet too. http://www.huntertownarms.com/guardian22.php Mike
  18. Hard to get good photos the way it's polished. Here's the best I could do.
  19. All it takes is water to neutralize the salts from the primers. Hit it with the hose gentlemen.
  20. Software issue, not a hardware issue. Mike
  21. Some video of him grinding. Don't know if that helps or not.. Fast forward to about the 6 minute mark on this one unless you're interested in his shop.
  22. D2 tool steel Broomhead, I'll try to get some pictures up tomorrow of the grind
  23. When I was a dispatcher for THP there were, and still are I imagine, very strict rules in what I could and could not say to someone. Anything I said was not legally binding and I could not advise any course of action whatsoever. The only exception was when I got EMD certified and then I could only read off instructions from the cards. No deviation at all. Mike
  24. I think it's funny everyone is hung up on part of a drill that is fifteen seconds of a two day, 18 hour course. That, if you didn't want to participate, you aren't required to. Mike
