  1. I was talking to my grandfather about this tonight and he regaled me with stories of how they used to clean their rifles in Korea. They ran scalding hot water over them and through the bores until all of the fouling washed off then they coated it with oil and grease. Wild.
  2. The scowl on his face is enough of a trailer for me. Edit: Just watched the trailer.... Holy crap! This will be a must see.
  3. What movie is that from in your avatar? Eastwood with a garand. I need to see it.
  4. If you have to chainsaw someone to death I don't think it will matter if it's camo..
  5. It's not the dirt and grime. It's the principal.
  6. Not as cool as this. But still awesome.
  7. Why is it that some people sell a gun that is just filthy!? This has happened twice for me. When I bought my first AR, it came to me just disgusting. Grime, caked on fouling, dirty chamber, dirty bore, filthy bolt. What the hell? The same happened when I bought my M1. Absolutely filthy. Granted whenever I buy a weapon I always strip and clean it thoroughly. Even if it's new. However.... When you sell a gun don't you want to put it's best face forward. I know that every weapon in my safe could pass a white glove inspection right now. When I go to sell one it gets an even deeper clean and polish. I simply don't understand the logic in leaving your mess for someone else to clean. It certainly does leave a foul taste in my mouth when I buy a rifle then have to go and clean layers of crap off of it before I even get to shoot it. /rant -Mike
  8. Har har.... It has a good muzzle.... Dick.
  9. I picked mine up private party. I looked up all the part numbers that are supposed to be in the rifle and as best I can tell it was rebuilt at least once in '47-'48. I think I'm going to try to get a replacement stock for it or clean up and repair this one. It's worn and chipped up a bit. I may keep it that way though, with little bit of character. I'm just happy to own a small piece of history.

    Para hawgs??

Mine is a double. I have big hands. The grips are also countersunk into the frame so that helps too. It's comfortable for me. Edit: I measured the grip it's 1 3/8" wide.
  11. What about a fixed blade knife? Legal to carry?
  12. Since when did the rules apply to the ruling elite?

  21. Not to mention Line-x is almost indestructible. For those with a gun locker it would increase the strength of the locker tremendously.
  22. Good article. Good Idea. A law which cannot be enforced is no law at all...
