  10. Joe, have you ever sent one back for resharpening? Mine is starting to get dull. I didn't know what their turnaround was for that.
  11. V-blocks. Where in Nashville are you? I can give you some of mine or make you some if mine are too small. I use them as welding jigs when I have piping to weld. Awesome for keeping round things from rolling and slipping. Then for the straight line, take a framing square and draw a big line down the side and keep to it.

Thanks! Went out and shot it the other day. Smooth, almost no recoil. No jams. Great fun.

  14. Or you can saw off the sight base and take a file to the rest of it. Cheap, effective, and will allow your rail to clear without having to drive your taper pins out.

This thread has gone downhill for quite some time now... C.a.s., I've been there. At 17, you know nothing. Nothing. As has been said already, you won't like hearing this. But it doesn't make it any less true. I'm only a few years older and I am still learning how much I don't know.

To those in the thread that have the "justification" response. This is the same attitude that anti's have on our other items of interest. SBS' SBR's FA's AOW's All of these items are in the same category as armor. People are always asking for justification for such items. Who cares. Because you need it or just want it. It should be an individual decision based on that persons needs/wants. No one else need have any other say i it. Some consider it "extreme" or warranting mental evaluations. Let it be.

I have an Eagle carrier with IIIA soft armor right now. Looking to get some rifle plates soon. I don't want to wear it everyday, but it's a nice addition to my SHTF stash. I do run with it most everyday. Really kicks your ass after a few miles. It's hot, uncomfortable, and heavy. Then again, the saying is, "Armor is supposed to be comforting, not comfortable."
  20. It's more likely to happen on the .357 due to the recoil, I'd imagine. It could happen on a .38 too under the right circumstances.
  21. I had my J frame 340pd lock up on me the other day when the "safety" lock was activated under fire. I had put about 30ish rounds through it when it happened. Total lock-up. No function. Easy as pie. On mine, I took the flag and ground the nub off though. That way I didn't have a hole in the side of my pistol. Now the lock can be in either position to no effect.

CZ-82 9mm Makarov What a great little pistol for right at 200.00. Ammo is dirt cheap. Great trigger, 12+1 capacity, compact size. We've got a winner.
