By corking the barrel and letting it sit it opens up the possibility of forgetting about it and leaving it in there a few days or longer. When you return and empty it. It will have removed every bit of lead, copper, and powder fouling... along with quite a bit of the rifling.

Good luck getting one. Chey-tac isn't too fond of letting their "good" rifles go to civilians... You can buy a "sporter" edition, but no cool toys for you, from them. I don't know if they have changed their offerings recently but when I was looking to get one of their M200 rifles they asked if I was a civilian then offered one of the sporter rifles when I said no they told me that was all I could get.

Buy the cheapest ammo that will reliably function in your weapon. Sacrifice if need be. This is something that is an investment into yourself.
