  1. oops I was thinking Sportsmans Guide. Still it's less elsewhere for new ammo.
  2. Or you can buy brand new ammo for less than that locally.
  3. I recommend them for any pistol you intend to carry.
  4. See part 1 here - http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/general-off-topic/30845-hit-deer.html So after this thread was posted, Glen and I got some parts together to get his truck looking a little bit better. We got a grille, turn signal lamps, Drivers headlight and some minor clips and parts that had been broken off. Pulled the old parts off, fit up the new parts as best we could. There was some minor shade tree engineering on a few parts. Namely the drivers side headlight. The bracket was in about 6 peices. Not only that but the radiator core support was bent back to the point that even if we had the part it wouldn't fit on with out a lenghty sesson with a mini sledge and the tree and chain going again. Better solution. Err.... a quicker solution... We drilled and put two screws in through the top and hung the light directly off the grille. Lined everything up against the shop wall and sealed up the holes. Two RTV "bushings" under the light should keep it from vibrating or getting knocked loose from the clods of mud that this truck regularly sees. Two more screws in the bottom of the grille to secure it to the bumper where all the clips had been broken off and she fits up almost as tight as before. Add to that a quickie rattle can job on the newly re-clearanced hood. and you have this.... Album is here. - glens truck pictures by rmikemcd - Photobucket
  5. I grew up with all kinds of toy guns (without orange tips, even:gasp: ), a whole bunch of real ones too. I ran around with my friends playing cops and robbers, cowboys and Indians, and most other kid games. I always knew the difference though between the toys and the real things. It's never too early to begin discipline and familiarity. Take away the stigma and it's just another thing. Nothing special. Just my opinion. ..........
  6. We have one down at The Outpost. -Mike
  7. I've shot a bunch of the .38spl with no problems. Performed well.
  8. They do. I have a set on mine.
  9. I second that.
  10. I don't see how they would lose thier child over that... Nothing illegal or harmful in any way.
  11. Barewoolf, we have more on order. We noticed this past Saturday we were getting a bit short on a few sizes.
  12. We have the SOE riggers belts and the Cobra Belts at The Outpost. Both are awesome.
  13. With the exception that HK hates you. Personally.
  14. That cartridge should have never been born. Don't waste your money.
  15. Benchmade AFO II. Awesome knife.
  16. Took a .308 to the ribs a bit back. Wrote a story on it.
  17. No they never buy anything. It's kind of funny when they pick up a gun. it's almost always immediately pointed at their buddy with a grin on thier face and gun noises.. "Pkew, kapaow" or some silly ****.
  18. Because they see the gas pumps and walk in to use the restrooms. Then they look to the left and go like this -- Then invariably they want to come hold everything and tell me that these things are cool but they don't condone owning one or much less shooting any living thing. F'n hippies.
  19. The Outpost Armory.

  22. I hate Bonnaroo. Loads of unwashed hippies stopping in the shop for an entire week. You can smell them when they walk through the door.

    Kel Tec PMR-30

No, it's different. It is an amazingly well built pistol with an un-KelTec like trigger. No long heavy pull at all. Light short and crisp is the name of the game. Judging from the prototype that I got to see, one will be in my safe as soon as they are released.
  24. The best way to ruin a knife is to use it for purposes other than to cut something. If it is a last resort thing and nothing else is close, I can understand it. I've done it, I've got the drawer full of broken knives to prove it. Most of the best knives I own have come with a big note either, on the box, in the manual, or on it's own brightly colored slip of paper wrapped around the knife. It goes something like this; "Our knifes are built to last, to be the best cutting implement we can offer you. They are NOT prybars, screwdrivers, icepicks, or shovels." Just one of those things that if you take good care of it, it will take good care of you. -Mike
