  1. is it still level 70 that you can prestige at?
  2. If I can get off work tomorrow at a decent time I'll be out there. Mike
  3. Any idea on the round count?
  4. I voted the savage. But would also recommend a CZ 452. If you truly want to be a better shooter you should ditch the scope and learn to be a better shooter with irons. People tend to use optics as a crutch. Once you master iron sights then you can go for the scope. Everything you learn up to that point will transfer to any other rifle you ever shoot. Your cons list is actually a bunch of pluses on a rifle you intend to use to improve your shooting. By keeping a 5 or 10rd magazine it will teach you to make every shot count. Good for you for wanting to improve! Some of my fondest shooting memories are with a single shot .22 with my granddad learning basic marksmanship. Mike
  5. Good luck. I carried my ultratech for about 2 months before it gave up the ghost. They aren't built for EDC use at all it seems. Mike
  6. I may have to get with you on that sometime in the future. Mike
  7. Hornady LnL is 379 at midsouthshooterssupply.com only a short drive up to clarksville has it to you the same day. Not to mention it's an auto indexing press. so no need to turn the plate by hand after each step. Mike
  8. Make sure to check your headspacing.
  9. Still have that wood furniture? Interested in parting with it?
  10. Lol, the "DEATH MACHINE"
  11. Most of the reports of inaccuracy comes from people buying the cheapest rifle they can, shooting the cheapest ammo they find, then complaining that it's not an accurate rifle. Are they pinpoint rifles? No. But I can hit a man sized target out to 400 yds pretty easily with my Arsenal SGL-21 and with my Bulgarian AK-74. Both equipped with iron sights. That being said, WASR's are bottom of the barrel. If you buy one look out for the canted sight and take a set of go no-go gauges with you. I can't tell you how many I've seen close on a no-go gauge. Try it out with a bunch of different magazines and try to find on that is snug but not overly tight. -or- You can save a little more money and buy a quality rifle. Then you don't have to deal with any of this crap. or just a few hundred more dollars you can buy an Arsenal rifle that was built by people that know what they are doing, have a very high standards of production and superb quality control. http://www.arsenalinc.com/ Mike
  12. Just finished downloading the software update. It's go time. RMHero on PSN.
  13. I'll be there for sure. Probably with a few others in tow.
  14. CZ makes some wonderful shotguns. Very nice quality. Mike
  15. I don't even know if anything like this exists but I'm looking for some thing like a bullseye match at 25-100yds using small caliber rifles(22lr, etc.) and iron sights. Any suggestions? Mike
  16. Never underestimate the effectiveness of the adrenal response to major trauma. Add to that the powerful drugs that some people are on these days and you very well could have a guy that doesn't notice and doesn't really give a damn that he just took a couple rounds. Mike
  17. I ran cylinder bore at the last 3 gun with pretty good results. If I could I'd probably switch it to improved cylinder. But it being a fixed choke it probably won't happen. As to the shot, whatever the cheapest walmart 100rd packs are. 7 1/2? Mike
  18. I doubt it would be near as loud with the airways and bodies to vent and absorb the shots. Inside would be much worse. I thought the stun was shot pretty well. I've heard a shot indoors with no ear pro before and it was very disorienting. The experience I had was pretty much verbatim what was depicted. Mike
  19. I believe it was a colt python. I had to rewind and watch the safety click deal a few times. He racks then pushes on the slide lock. I guess the foley guys thought that would work for a click noise. His saving grace was that he turned into a zombie shortly after that moment of idiocy.
  20. I agree with this. Not only will it allow you to seamlessly upgrade to full on progressive reloading when you are ready, it will also allow you to do only one round at a time while you are learning and figuring stuff out. Get a powder cop die and place it directly after the measure. You will be able to spot an off load if by chance you double charge one. Mike
  21. I kept nailing the side of the tree it was half behind. Finally got it though. I enjoyed all the stages this week. All of them were very challenging in their own way. I can't wait to see more events like this. Some video. We have video of the other stages as well but it didn't turn out very well.
  22. And what testing methods did you use to derive this conclusion? Can you post your test data and results? Or is this more anecdotal bull****? I'm betting the latter. I'm not an armchair quarterback. If you think the Judge is a great weapon by all means carry one. But don't call anyone else wrong who doesn't emulate your flawed confidence in the platform. Taurus has repeatedly and consistently put out sub-par firearms. I've seen more of their weapons come back for repair than virtually every other manufacturer. You did indeed insult someone. You should also look to the background of the people you insult before you go on your little tirade. Mike
  23. Or why you would bet your life on a two shot .410? Leave it for the squirrels and get a proper duty weapon.
  24. Had a great time out there today. So did the guys I brought out. Hopefully they will be out there a little more often. Mike
