  1. Is there an ATF agent watching your christmas morning gift giving? Just give them to him. Mike
  2. NSFW - some language.
  3. Tactical Response - The Fight You can play with them too. Mike
  4. I don't know if the magazines were factory or not. There is a really good possibility that they weren't If so that may have been a contributing factor in the poor light I view the rifles. That is a silly argument. I have the carbon build up to prove it to be a non-issue. Mike
  5. You can get 8 hours out of it if you kick it down to a lower power. At 160 lumens you can get just over an hour and a half runtime. Mike
  6. 7-800 lumens would be overkill indoors, IMO. It would probably disorient you and the guy you lit up. Outdoors they would probably work well. I use a Streamlight strion that I carry at work. I can light up things out to 1/3 mile and ID most anything I can see at 1/4 mile. It's only 160 lumens. On the positive side He might turn to Jesus after seeing "The Light" Mike
  7. Yeah, "not to mention" is the best advice, at least for the present generation models. There is no more of a shift than with most ARs.- OS Rock on, dude. If you have one that runs when it's dirty and shoots where you point it, you got a good one. The ones I've shot did not display those characteristics at all. Maybe I didn't have new enough ones that had all the updates. I've shot 6 different ones and all of them showed the same problems. Poor ergonomics, jams, stringing shots while warming up and cooling, and general unreliability. Just my experience with the platform. Mike
  8. That's a new record I think for the amount of **** bolted onto a shotgun.... Jesus.
  9. Doesn't matter. If it's failing after 200 rounds, something is wrong. I've run barnaul brown bear and wolf in class all day long with no ammunition or fouling related malfunctions. Mike
  10. If your rifle can't shoot more than 200 rounds before it needs to be cleaned then it has(had) some serious issues. To those folks with "perfectly" functioning rifles, what are your round counts? Classes attended with said rifle? Cleaning schedule? Mike
  11. I wouldn't recommend the FNAR either. It requires you to send the rifle to FN every 1k rounds for armorer level maintenance. And magazines are few and far between in the supply chain. Mike
  12. Yeah, like I said, stupid places, stupid people, stupid things. I did something real dumb and I paid for it in spades. Mike
  13. August of last year. Mine wasn't quite just carrying past a sign. I was in the wrong place but didn't know it. I wasn't aware that the fraternity houses at MTSU were part of the campus. So I got a few Felony Possession of Weapon on school property charges and a trip to jail. Not my finest hour by far. But as I said, I finally got everything dismissed and my life back squared away. Sucks that it cost me about 20k to do it though. Mike
  14. I've been caught, jailed, charged, confiscated, and finally dismissed. I violated the don't go stupid places with stupid people and do stupid things rule. I got burned, and it's my own fault. Fortunately for me I was able to get everything dismissed and was able to return to normal life. Mike
  15. This. The one I shot didn't group worth a ****. And they bite into the supply of FAL mags.
  16. Have I ever told you how much I enjoy reading your posts sometimes? Mike
  17. Illuminate, ID, off, and move. The last item is the important one.Mike
  18. You don't automatically shoot the person you see. Once identified you have the option of moving your weapon as to not muzzle the non threat. You had reasonable suspicion to have the pistol out so why not have it together with more intuitive controls? Besides you shouldn't use the light in constant on anyways if there's a threat. You only use it in momentary bursts to ID threat or non threat then shut it off. A constant light is a big target to an actual threat. Mike
  19. Mounted pistol lights allow you to do the same thing. You seem to want to hold onto your pistol with both hands. A good thing. But also want to have a light you can see with. Also a good thing. Why dick around with a glove? Nintendo tried the power glove and it sucked dick. Now your trying this. It's a solution to a problem that has already been solved. Several times. Go try a pistol light. Do some low light training with it. Preferably professionally instructed training over dicking around at the range. You will see the light. Ba-dum tish...
  20. And that's why I think it's dumb to do so now.
  21. I think alternating ammo is pretty dumb. Find a round that cycles well in your pistol and stick with it. So hit the SOB where he needs to be hit as many times as you are able to. Reload. Scan. Pretty hard to do if your head is up your ass concerned about ammo type or some other bull****.
  22. That's the dumbest thing I've seen this week.
  23. Not to mention they have numerous issues with POA/POI shift when they get warm. Get an AR or an AK for serious use. Leave the Mini's for safe duty. Mike
  24. Mack truck. Mad Max style.
