  1. Why is this, Dave? I've heard everything from wearing the extractor out to deforming the chamber dimensions. I've never seen anything empirical that would suggest that it does anything to actually damage the rifle. As to the fouling, I've said in the past, if your rifle won't run dirty you need to seriously re-evaluate it's position in your inventory. I've never had an issue with lacquer melting. I shoot Barnaul Brown Bear almost exclusively in my AR for training. Current round count is at 5k with no cleaning. I've had the rifle too hot to touch comfortably with gloves and still no issues. SNOW!!!

2nd that. Last time is snowed I passed 6 people in the ditches and almost got hit by 2 others. Mike

    SNOW!!!

I'm in the same boat as David. There's very little that actually stops me from being able to physically get to work. Besides, the freight must move. Mike
  4. You should always be moving. One of the biggest training scars comes from the static range. Standing still. Non moving argets are easy to hit. Speed, angles and distance are your friend. Mike
  5. Also offered in July and November.
  6. Everyone needs to calm the **** down. I've read over the thread and I really don't understand what you and DaveTN trying to argue about. of course you aren't going to just start blazing away, but doing something rash and unexpected does have benefits. Most guys that "pull guns" on people have done it many times before and are counting on intimidation to get what they want. Most folks comply and roll over like a beached whale. Those dudes you can most likely get the upper hand on if you spot an opening and have some gumption about you. Bottom line is that it is situation dependent. Multiple factors from type of bad guy, mannerisms, your mindset, will to do what needs to be done regardless of the necessary action. Sometimes just keeping your mouth shut and being calm will get you out, sometimes not. Mike Edit: For those interested. Come put up or shut up. Force on Force simunitions - Jan 31-Feb1
  7. Still a pistol. Mike
  8. What about a good training class? Mike
  9. Have you considered a different mount? An Ultimak will lower your height over bore considerably. Mike
  10. You know that's never been my strong point. My apologies if I didn't pander to anyone's emotional needs. I'm a very direct person. It's not my nature to beat around the bush censoring myself to avoid hurt feelings. Mike

  12. Will at Red Jacket is a good dude. Should be a good show. Mike
  13. Stance has nohing to do with it. Sight alignment and not jerking the trigger will net you hits. Harden up, don't be so sensitive. It's just the Internet. Mike
  14. What is the end use of the rifle? Mike
  15. Armed Citizen's Legal Defense Network, LLC If you carry you should be a member. Mike
  16. You were not bashed. Permit qual's are a f**king joke. Most M&P sight move quite easily with a soft face mallet after you loosen the screw. Since it's most likely not the pistol, I was suggesting you fix the problem. Not bandaid over poor fundamental skill sets with mechanical fixes. Mike
  17. Learn to shoot properly? Mike
  18. Looks cool. Mike
  19. Awesome, I'm glad to see more long gun matches. Mike
  20. You and I both know there's no help for him. Mike
  21. Come on now. I ran a chest rig too. Maybe next time you won't be too scared of the ak to come out and get whooped on some Mike
  22. The raven, or, look at Seraph's holsters. He has a much shorter wait time on them than raven. Raven makes a "magpul cut" of their phantom holster that is intended for use at 2-3 o'clock, and is a straight cant design. Stay away from the serpa, as it is neither high, tight, or safe to use. Mike
  23. Awesome match. Hopefully in the future we'll have more of them. Mike
  24. Looks like I'll be bringing a group of 6 or 7. Mike
  25. There is very little outside your fist to lever the knife out of your hand. What is outside your fist is sharp and pointy. It's very effective.
