    Revolver to Auto

Of that, I do not. I have trained extensively with revolvers and shoot regularly with them in competition. As a fighting weapon they are inferior to a semi auto. Mike

    Revolver to Auto

Don't get me wrong, I love revolvers. I love how they are built, how they look, and how they shoot. I am extremely competent with them. However, I would not choose to carry one over a good semi auto for any reason. Mike

    Revolver to Auto

Revolvers suck to begin with. Low capacity and slow reloads. The only reason I carry one is because it's not my primary. It's the backup gun when my m&p is out of bullets. Mike
  4. 18" barrel minimum 26" overall.
  5. Well played, sir.
  6. But you can change it. By asking a simple question you can change the price. Mike
  7. Like I said, I don't understand the mentality. You are unhappy with the price yet you are unwilling to actively do anything about it other than storm out then bitch about it on the internet. Mike
  8. Did you pay asking price for your car too?
  9. There is no difference in a new or used gun. Both have margins and it's up to the shop to decide how much they want to make on a particular item. If they don't want to negotiate that's fine, it's how they chose to operate. But if you don't at least ask you wont ever know. Mike
  10. Most shops have room for negotiating. It doesn't hurt to ask. The worst they can say is no. I have never understood the "offended" reaction to a listed price. Or for that matter a low ball offer. I have been on both sides of the counter and it boggles my mind. Is it just an aversion to discussing money? or just unfamiliar ground? Always ask for a better price, you have nothing to lose and money to save. Mike
  11. Did you ask for a better price?
  12. It's been a good one! Mike
  13. 9mm, .38/.357, .223, & 7.62x39.
  14. Austrian STG58 kit on an Imbel gear receiver.
  15. With minor filing it will fit. Mike
  16. Nice STG58. I have one similar. Irons only though, on mine.
  17. Once cleared fro the evidence room, firearms should be sold back to the public. They pose no more threat to public safety than any other firearm sitting on a dealers shelf. The people who purchase them will still go through the same background check as they would if they were purchasing new. This program allows departments to turn evidence room clutter into useful revenue. Hopefully it will allow them to focus on enforcing laws that actually help the community rather than trying to bend over Joe Taxpayer at a traffic stop because he was going a half mile over the speed limit. Concurrently we should be auditing seizure records to ensure that police are not abusing the asset forfeiture laws we have in place today. It is a slippery slope we have gone down allowing law enforcement to seize evidence and auction it off sometimes months prior to the actual court date. A true review of out asset forfeiture laws should be in order. Not just in letter of law but an audit of the processes current use and practice should be looked at to ensure there is no abuse by those who only look at revenues rather than actually serving the general public. Those people they have sworn to protect and serve. Mike
  18. You may have gotten one of the 5.56 barreled rifles century built. Might be worth checking into. Mike
  19. Nice job. What's the part for with the tapered cut? Mike
  20. Wrong. You still have to aim. At 40' nine pellet buckshot only spreads to about 4-5" out of a cylinder bore. Mike
  21. Mag tube and a side saddle. Done. Don't put a bunch of crap on your gun. It will just make it heavy and less useful. Mike

    3rd Shift

Work 3rd then sleep in the morning. It's the same as if you were away at a job during the day. I've been on 3rd shift for 5 years now. Mike
  23. This was done to simplify the manual of arms when they were starting out as a country. There was no standard sidearm, it was a hodgepodge of whatever they already had, could buy, and what got donated to them. With so many different pistols it was easier to train everyone to rack the slide to make ready instead of going one by one on whatever that particular soldier had on that day.Mike
  24. Tim, that would be great. I just picked up a revolver that was set up in the 80's for bowling pins. Wanted to give it a whirl. Mike
