  1. Primary arms if you don't ever count on it for serious use. Mike
  2. Use paracord to tie a prussik hitch around the wrist of the stock and the magazine tube. Or, If you want it to look a bit more rustic you could use leather cord.
  3. Try a decent red dot. You can let it blur out while focusing both eyes on your target. Mike
  4. He lost me at "flimsy dust cover"... I would reccommend the Ultimak or RS Regulate over this.
  5. Why would it not be legal? Mike
  6. No, these printers are definitely made in china...
  7. A firm, not aggressive, but firm "Stop!, can I help you?" can help keep them from approaching as close. Keeping your head moving and looking around you is critical at places like these. You can ID and stop people before they get too close to you.

  9. Just picked up some new SOE gear from John and I figure I would show it off and do a quick review. First off is the vehicle med bag. This bag is setup to carry enough med gear to be useful in instances involving several wounded parties such as a car accident. On the outside it has PALS webbing and Velcro on the face to allow attachment of other pouches, storage of trauma shears and ID patches. The back has a pocket large enough to store large chest seals like the Bolin and Asherman without folding them. It will also allow storage of the shoulder strap if you want to keep it attached to the bag but don’t want it loose. The bottom of the bag also has loops to accommodate road flares or a medium sized flashlight. The Surefire 6p and 9p fit perfectly. The inside the med bag is setup with an elastic loop organizer. There are six large loops for H bandages or large Israelis. On the face of the loops on the back panel are elastic slots for NPA’s, catheters, gloves, pens, or any other small items you need to secure. Three medium loops for compressed gauze or quickclot gauze are at the bottom of each panel. Surrounding the entire inside perimeter are six loops for cyalumes allowing easy identification of your kit in the dark. Next up are some tourniquet pouches. I have these for both the TK4 and the CAT/SOFT-T. Both of these completely cover the tourniquets and protect them from UV breakdown. Both are quick deploy and do not force you to dig to get them out. the CAT pouch has a snap to positively secure it from accidental release. They have PALS on the back and attach via a malice clip or you can thread a sling through them to keep one on your rifle. I have the TK4 pouch mounted directly to the stock of my AK. The TK4 pouch has a mechanism that throws the tourniquet out into your hand when deployed. As always John's gear is not only Made in America, it's made right here in TN. I think his tags sum up his opinion on the matter. Mike
  10. Typically the pressure spikes will blow primers out of the casing, causing failure in the triggers when they drop into the lower. In extreme cases they can blow out the casing itself. Mike
  11. Find someone with some go no-go headspace gauges and get the WASR checked. They're good rifles when put together properly. Mike
  12. Yes, but not by much. If you do this be sure your OAL doesn't exceed the length of the magazine.
  13. The next guy... If your rifle won't shoot wolf, there is something wrong with it. Mike
  14. The one for the ak47 will work on 74 mags.
  15. Why?
  16. A maglula will alleviate the sore thumb.
  17. +2 I have both of these and both are an absolute joy to shoot.
  18. I'm headed there in two weeks for another HRCC class. You will enjoy fighting rifle. If there's any way you can do it you should take Adv. fighting rifle as well. It's much more fun. Mike
  19. It's referring to .223 Remington and .223 wylde chambers.
  20. Rifle Dynamics. Fuller and his guys are top notch.
  21. Just curious, why this over an ultimak?
  22. Does it stop running?
  23. You probably shouldn't listen to that person anymore...
  24. Why?
