Looks like I became interested in firearms a little too late. I just got my permit a few days ago and now I'm already worried about it being taken away by politicians. Politicians that most likely can afford to pay for their security instead of Joe Blow that has to look out for himself.

I agree. I think our gun days are numbered, and it makes me sick.

I could see it get ugly. I don't know though. Most people are sheep and would probably give in without a fight.

I agree. My honest opinion is that in the next 4 years, we will have considerable less gun rights. Dwindle them down a little at a time until eventually we can't even leave the house with them.

Do you think that they would go door to door looking for your guns? I heard a few old timers talking and they seem to think bad times are coming. That's why I'm interested in opinions. I sure hope it doesn't get that far. This weekly shootings in the media sure aren't helping things though.

I've just been thinking a lot lately about the media reporting on so many shootings. I just want some opinions on how many people here think that it's only a matter of time before we lose the right to carry our guns (Permits revoked) and possibly the right to even own them. Does anyone else here think it will ever happen? I unfortunately think it will happen eventually.

Thanks all. Hopefully I won't make the call, but it seems like I will. Our mailman has lost our mail/put it in the wrong box before, and I fear it has happened again. I'm going to call Nashville this morning. Edit: When I called I was told that it can take up to 3 weeks after it is issued to show up. Guess I just need to keep waiting. Seems kind of crappy considering all my friends got theirs within 14-18 days, but late is better than never.

I go to Chattanooga pretty regularly and it's not that bad if you don't go to the wrong places. Brainerd road, East Ridge, Etc.

This might be true. If it's not in the mail tomorrow, I'm going to give them a call. The lady I spoke to said it was issued on the 12th and said she believed it went out on the following Monday. One week from today.

Just wanted to say hello and glad to be here. My permit was issued on the 12th of this month. Still haven't received it. Is it normal to take this long after it's already been issued or do you think my mailman has misplaced it?

I still plan on getting dolomite to help me when he has time. For now, I have my g22 to play with and it has trijicons.

That's only an hour away. I would take you up on that. How much money would I need? I would gladly pay you to do that procedure on my sights. I'm not in any way skilled with my hands, so I dare not try it myself. And as far as the mepro sights, they will not work either.

Can anyone reccomend my some night sights that will fit my gun? I have the Beretta px4 Storm Compact type F. I would love to use Trijicon, but they will not fit the compact version of my gun because the slide is thinner than the other versions and leaves a hole uncovered in the slide. So far I'm not having any luck finding any. Any help would be much appreciated.
