Been going to flea markets most of our lives. As a buyer, you never know what you'll find. As a seller, We never had yard sales. Might get 20-25 people to stop at the house. When we set up at the flea market 20-25 hundred people to stop. What you have sound like a very specialized item. If I were you I'd have some business cards printed up and hand them out to anyone that is looking at your stuff. One man's trash is another man's treasure. I could tell you stories about what we bought and sold at flea markets.

Why not start reloading? If you can follow directions and have a degree of common sense. Original expense is a bit high but after that adding calibers and components are only add on costs. $350 to $400 max will get you started.

My wife and I have gone for the last 3 years. Wouldn't miss it for the world. Not much there to buy,but you get to check out all the gun related stuff from every manufacturer. Even if it's not on the shelves yet. One day isn't nearly enough. We plan on being there 3 days. Go early, leave early, enjoy a running away from home weekend. The grass will still be there when you get back.

Interested as well

If you reload, stay away from cast bullets. They clog up the gas port. I shot cast and paid the bill. Took me for ever to find the wrench to remove the gas check to clean it. I found 110gr bullets from Bartlett. H110 was the powder I used. Worked great. Clean, uniform, consistent readings over the chronograph.

Truck carry Where to hide a handgun
Ray Z replied to Ray Z's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I do have a M&P shield that I carry outside the truck. What I want to conceal in the truck is a full sized/hi cap 40. Have you ever tried to draw from your hip while sitting in your truck? With the console on one side and the door on the other it takes quite a bit longer than a standing hip draw on the street. -
Truck carry Where to hide a handgun

Damn! that makes since. I'm thinking Velcro to hold it. But will it stay there in the Summer heat? -
I've got a pick up truck with a console on the front seat. I've tried using the console to conceal my handgun and it never fails, whenever I open the console the gun is always under all the junk I've got in there. Needless to say if I ever needed it in a hurry I'd be fishing around in there for way too much time. Anybody got a better place to conceal a handgun in the truck? I tried just keeping it on my hip but that even makes it harder to get to under that roll of fat I hid my belt with.

S&W M&P in back pocket: Interesting sight
Ray Z replied to Pete123's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Stoner Holsters hakes a holster that fits in the back pocket and prints like a wallet. I can carry my M&P shield all summer long. Best concealed carry I've found for year round carry. A lot better than that hunt and seek I had to do with IWB holsters around my flat tire. -
I have had guns that I bought and sold just because they were too cheap not to buy and a little ruff not to sell. But I had a m1 rifle and a m1 carbine that I had that were really nice that I sold just because we needed a new washer and drier. I miss them to this day and have never seen any that were in that condition.

Idiot of the year goes to these guys (and it's only February)
Ray Z replied to Sam1's topic in General Chat
The [gentlemen?] in the film clip get my vote for the Darwin award for the month of February. Police go through months of training to be paranoid. If you're going to pull on Superman's cape a good stiff kick in the butt is the least of your worries. -
Some day, right after I win the lottery, I'll spend the $8500 it takes to buy a Barret 50 BMG rifle. I really don't enjoy pain but I'd like to have something that takes a full minute to put the cartridge in the chamber.

Oh Hell, just call Dillon. You're not going to save any money buying local and you're going to be asked all the right questions. Also you will be assigned a customer number so you will be able to get any parts from their lifetime guarantee without 20 questions. I've had my 650 for 15 years and the only thing that has ever gone wrong was some small plastic part. But whatever you need they have in your mailbox in 3-4 days postage paid.

The fire fighters have done a great job. I don't know what we'd have done without them. Now it's time to look to the future. With a bit of the Smokey Mountains, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge burnt to the grown, a lot of the visitors that would have come to Eastern Tennessee are going to go elsewhere to spend their vacation dollars. How are those that depend on the industry going to survive?

I use them exclusively. Had a chance to talk to these folks at the NRA show. Good people with a good product that they take pride in.

If you don't come for any other reason, you have GOT to come and see the new pits. It's unbelievable what the guys have done with the the unused space next door.

You gotta shoot it before you buy it. The extended portion of the frame in the back if very uncomfortable to shoot. Not only is it too long but it's too squared off. It digs into the top of your hand on recoil. Sorta like the standard 1911 grip safety verses a high hand. I emailed ruger about the way I feel. The return email was just standard "thank you very much bla, bla, bla, bla"

How about some pictures? I haven't been to the Grand American since they left Vandalia.

I've spent a lot of money at Academy Sports, but....

It doesn't seem that way. Just some people that have more weight putting their foot down. -

I agree completely. I remember when Colt took the ar 15s off there list to sell to civilians. It was a butt kiss to Clinton so Uncle Sam would buy m-16s from them. Well, it didn't work and I've got a long memory. Sold the Colt that I had in the safe and won't have another one because of it. I'm going to add Academy to my list too. If they want to decide what kind of guns I can buy then I can decide where I'm not going to buy them. -
Chillhowee... How are the Lines Lately?
Ray Z replied to luvmyberetta's topic in Events and Gatherings
I use Gunbroker a lot. My son has a FFL and charges me the family price + tax for the transfers. It's a win win situation for grandma and I. I get to fill out the 4473 while we're playing with our grandchildren. -
We went to Louisville Friday afternoon. Traffic was nuts. The local drive by media said there was 80,000 people at the event to see Mr. Trump. From the traffic we were in I'd believe it. Saturday was OK in the morning. But by lunch you couldn't scratch your butt in that crowd. We only got to about 1/3 of the show Saturday. Sunday was our best day. No real crowd but the vendors all looked like they had been road hard and put away wet. By 3:00 we had only seen maybe all but the last 1/4. Too much to see in two days. Next time we'll do three day.

DAMN! You beat me to it. Thank you

I've got several Win mod 67's that I have collected over the years. They have been safe queens for many years. I've decided to get rid of them. They are a cute single shot 22 that is great for kids to start shooting with, BUT. I discovered that over the years the stocks have a split in them. Is this something that is repairable or does it need to be replaced? I'm guessing that they are only worth, maybe, $200 each so needless to say I don't want to put a lot more money in them. Anybody got any ideas??
