What did they change in gen 2?
-
I was hot on it until I found out that Ruger switched out a part in the bolt for one in plastic. Couldn't deal with a part in the most important part in the gun being plastic.

BTW, the governor of Texas embraced the capitalism there the other day. With bottled water going for $80-$100 a case and gas going for $20/gal they decided $20,000 fines per incident to start with was a nice thing to do for the capitalistic individuals there.

It's very simple to me. Any gun sticker on a car says [ Break into me first ]

Come on to Tellico Plains. Latest weather 92 degrees and occasional clouds. We're only expecting 112,000 more folks. Hotels are all full, people are selling space in their yards for $15-$30 for the eclipse and $40-$60 to camp in with no facilities for the night. Don't know how I really feel about this. But I'm bordering on " It makes me sick that local people are taking advantage of it ".

There's the difference between an optimist and a pessimist

That's a big 10-4

Mine was an Ansultz single shot 22. Kid sized, when I was 8 or 9. I had to earn the money to buy it [ $14-15 ]I have never seen one since. BTW I'm 70.

I remember the fifties with the school drills and the back yard bomb shelters. And the sixties when we realized that the half life of the radiation would be beyond our great great grandchildren's lifetime. And if the politicians gum bumping and the military antimissile missiles don't work we're in the same place we would be before all the fear mongering. Just find a chair, sit in it, bend as far forward as you can, and kiss your ass goodby.

Can larger shot be made for hunting? What's the composition of the lead?

Anybody else gotta weedeat the whole yard before ya mow??

When y'all get done with your one acre, come on out here to Tellico Plains. I got 25 acres that got away from me while I was in the hospital getting my gull bladder taken out. My other half has volunteered to cut it for me. Only thing is when she came out of the bedroom in shorts, for the first time this year, I thought she was dead. -
Two juveniles charged for starting Sevier Co. wildfires
Ray Z replied to xsubsailor's topic in General Chat
I've heard this BS before. It's the wind's fault It's the gun's fault They were only juveniles It's the fault of the store that sold the gun Should the prosecution be done by the state, or feds, or local? Let's just sue the gun manufacture. It had to be their fault Shall I go on? Talk is that they could be charged as adults. That means they had to be 16, or so. They're act destroyed over 1700 structures, cost untold millions in revenue to thousands of businesses, not to mention the deaths they caused. Should we do what any good liberal would do and slap them on the back of the hand? Oh!, we should pity the poor juveniles. BULLSH&*. Let's see some good old American justice here. -

Thank you for correcting my spelling. I spent my whole working life in commercial construction. The hardest thing I have to do is not put the appropriate adjectives in a return thread like this. HUMM! I wonder what I meant by that?

Didn't know I was unhappy with the M&P line, 'til they came out with the 2.0. If I was going to be any happier I'd have to take my cloths off.

The future of gun shows for me is over. The prices have gotten way out of hand. I've been doing my gun related buying through the internet. I shop prices, make my choice, and the item is sitting on my porch in a few days. Guns go through my local FFL dealer.

I,to, was told that lead bullets in the Ruger 44 mag auto rifle is a no no. When I contacted Ruger they told me that when the gas check fouled the rifle would have to be returned to them or to a very competent gun smith to have the system cleaned out.

Didn't know where else to put this one

Your wife is stopped at a stop light. Cars in front and behind you. A person comes up to the window point a gun at her through the side window and says "Roll down the window or I'll shoot you". You've got a 380. Should you...... Roll the window down Shoot him through the window. Ignore him and hope he goes away Or?

Maryville Walmart .22 (3 box limit removed)
Ray Z replied to Static_USMC's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Did you check the prices? They caught up with the gun shops and the guys at the flea markets with their prices. The scare is about over. The feds and the survivalists have all they want. Now we can have some. -
Seriously!, I'm on the list but haven't seen a price as of yet.

I don't know if Federal Primers are still in short supply. We stopped at Outdoor Junction in Cookesville on our way to Nashville. They had sr, lr, sp, and lp primers on the shelf
-
Had a chance to talk to one of the reps from sccy at the NRA show. They are going to build in Maryville as soon as they learn how to pronounce it. What I looked at looked like a good product for what it is intended.

Where would you like to start? The new M&P feels really great in my hand. Looks like I'm going to have to have at least 1, if not 2 [Pro 5" 9mm and regular length 40 for a house gun] Talked to the people at Dillon. Started with my condolences on Mikes passing. The man told me that Mike's boys have been slowly taking over for the last 3 years. They knew this was coming and wanted dad to have more time to himself. Also told them that I felt that their shipping was way too high and that I felt like I was putting one of their kids through school [said a s a joke]. The reply I got was that Shipping was high in Arizona. Got a chance to fondle Wather's P380. My wife's only complaint carrying an auto loader for concealed carry was that she couldn't rack the slide. She want with me through most of the show and this was the only one she could work. Got my hands on a Sig MPX while I was there. I wanted one before I got there. As of 2 months ago they have changed some things. I was fairly OK with the sliding stock on the older one. It did feel short and a bit uncomfortable to shoulder. New ones have a folding stock that feels a lot better. Older model had crap for a trigger. that was the first thing I was going to have to change [$200]. New one has a great trigger in it, out of the box. Only thing is now that the wait if over for the bucks, I've got to wait for the new model to get to the retail market. Got to talk to the folks at Alliant powder. Told them that I was not happy with how dirty their powder was to shoot. They said that it has changed. We'll see, now that I have gaggle of something else. Saw a lot of familiar faces at the USPSA booth. Told them that I would like to see production go to 15 rounds. I was told that it would cause problems in states like California. Humm, other states with handgun restrictions still get to shoot practical pistol. Could go on but you should have gone and have another chance next year. Take your favorite lady and take a 4 day vacation. Takes 3 days to see it all. I start when they open the doors and leave about 1-2.

Where are you talking about. Always looking for another flea market to go to.
