Got 1000 44 special cases from starline and loaded them for summer shooting a couple of weeks ago. Only problem I had was with the belling station on my 650. The cases slid in OK but it took both hands on the handle to get them back off. I started using some imperial sizing wax on the expander and it made things easier but slowed down the process. Every 5 case or so I had to stop and apply the wax to the stem. Any ideas on how to load new brass without the slowdown?

I'd love to hear how this motorcycle vs. pickup truck ended up. I'd think that this guy could be charged with attempt manslaughter or something real close.

My dear departed dad always told me that there is never stupid questions.

Here in moron county the lines in the parking lots are for centering your car. We have a lot of DUI 3-++ convictions driving on SR 68. They're the ones going 5-10 under the speed limit.

OK, I got a question. How did you get that aluminum hot enough to melt?
-
Has anyone gotten one yet? The internal design is a little different and I'm wondering if they're reliable. My daughter in law wants one for Christmas. I saw it at the NRA show and it looks like one autoloader that a woman can rack the slide on.

If I've got a choice I'd like Kydex. I've used several Fobus cheapies for production division USPSA matches without doing any damage to the gun finish. But I wonder about retention.

I've got a Ruger gp100 match coming to use for carry around the property. The nylon cheapies last about 25 draws. Any suggestions for a holster?

We have three dogs. All were rescued. I wouldn't have had it any other way. All are adult. All were easy to explain the house rules to. I read Cesar Millan's books and have learned a lot from him. I honestly believe they also know what we did for them. They are not only companions but friends.

Thanks for the heads up. As soon as I get one from back order I'm looking at a dissipator parts kit from Model 1.

Sorta lost some of the fear factor it used to have. Of course you could have painted it pink..

I agree completely. I shoot practical pistol and dry fire at least once a week 100-150 draws. If I don't, it really shows up when I go to our match. If I were a serious shooter I'd dry fire every day. It's an old wives tale that that dry firing will hurt the firing pin on a pistol. When I was serious about shooting I'd 800-1000 draws a week. No one else or myself included ever said they had to replace a firing pin.

Dolomite, I'm sorry to disagree with you but in these crazy times, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.

Tellico Plains. Only place I've ever been that has six stop signs and no stop lights. I really don't know if we don't need them or just can't afford them.

RUST!! That's one of the two enemies of a firearm.

Taxes, taxes, taxes. The last I heard for every dollar that goes in one side of the government only about 2 cents comes out the other end for services to our nation. No one is there to control how much tax is actually charged. Is it 10% of the cost of the gun, or 10% of the retail cost of the gun? Is there 10% tax on the material, labor, and shipping? Then 10% again on the retail cost of the gun? Do you get my point? Who is to say that our government can't impost another tax of firearms and ammo? The state department tax started out just on what was exported. Now it's on everything associated with firearms.

Not a good example. Uncle Obama controls my wages

Yes, we have the God given right to have a gun. But if that gun ends up costing you a thousand dollars instead of four hundred can you still buy it? How about $2 a round for ammo? Is that front door or back. I remember in the late 60's seeing folks walking out of the gun show with SKSs and AKs that they bought for less than $70. And cases of ammo for less than a hundred bucks. They came from warehouses In Russia and the like. It is now FORBIDDEN to import this stuff. This was done long before the troubles we are having with Russia now. Front door or back. ATF had forbidden many guns to be imported because they didn't fit " our " standards. Front door or back. Senator Dodd was hot on the Glock because you couldn't see it in the Xray machine at the airport. Even after he was shown pictures of one in a suitcase. Lies like that kept him in office for a long time. ATF erases all information that they receive from a 4473 form after 3 days, right? Everybody that believes that can have some of the swamp land that is for sale in Arizona. And as far as I'm concerned, the jury is still out on the so called ammo shortages. OK dudes, flame on. Tell me how FOS I am. Or how, with today's highly advanced production methods, it cost so much more to produce a firearm's product.

Wow guys, it sounds like you're hot on me. Sorry I said something bad about gun control. I too have the right to keep and bare arms. But I'm not allowed to have an AK or SKS that's not made in this country. I have the right to have one for like $500. Am I the only one that remembers $70 unfired rifles and $100 cases of ammo that were imported? Or the 8" deep layer of empty cases at the rifle range? Oh gee willikers batman what happened to them isn't gun control. Oh, BTW I was asking for clarification because all I had was third hand information. Am I getting right yet?
-
I have third hand information that not only does ATF tax all guns and related items, but the state department does too. Does anyone have any info that is more provable? What does this add to the cost of a purchase? This sounds like more back door gun control to me. It sounds to me like you have the right to keep and bare arms. You just can't afford to buy guns and ammo to use in them. Am I right?

Kinda makes you wonder if it was on the up and up.

When it's time for the siding think about getting siding with Styrofoam attached to it. It costs a bit more but heating a home isn't getting any cheaper. The homes in Tennessee aren't insulated as well as they should be. In the long run you'll save yourself some bucks.

Home Defense Shotgun - What is your take

IMO this proves my point. By the time I could recover from and put a second shot on target with a shotgun I could have 5-6 rounds down range with a handgun. -

I hate to bust bubbles. 'Ya all need to pattern oo buck at a distance equal to the distance you would shoot an intruder inside your house. After seeing the group I think you would agree with me that you would be better off with a pistol.
