  1. We are getting one in CDB land, cant wait, well I can but it is tough.Gander Mt is a nono for me as well to high priced and High and Mighty.
  2. Sweet deal, I always liked a lever action, Dad has one, well my Brother does now.
  3. 1854 Uberti & Gardone BLACK POWDER 44 in STAINLESS Picked up from a Man in GA, great shooter. 25 grans of powder, very little kick, OL loves it, and that makes me VERY HAPPY.
  4. Nice rifles there Tanker! I to have the same trouble.
  5. Great read there, thanks. We have 8 dogs and never know what they are barking at and I dont worry what it is. They have run what ever it was off.
  6. My prays to you and yours.
  7. DAMN IT another gun shop to close to home, OL aint gona like this, but I will.
  8. Thanks man, I guess I was doing it all wrong.Set focus and leave it alone, then set parallax for diff range. Got it.
  9. I have a 10 - 24 x 50 scope and the parallax adjustment is on the 50mm hood. Settings 100 yrds, 200, 300, and infinity. I set my parallax before I look through and then focus the scope. If I change parallax range I refocus. So parallax range then refocus. That is how I do the adjustments.
  10. Thank you for your Service to Our Country.Sing a longs.LOL
  11. I do it a bit diff, I open the crimp with plyers, melt, cast and recrimp, FED, WIN work well for me. REM, has a taperd hull that wont work with slug, so they get 8 pellets of "00".
  12. Let me see, but a laptop, when the bad guy comes at you hit him with it. Or, but a pistol and ammo and shoot the bad guy. I vote for the pistol and ammo. Sorry man I cant help myself sometimes, I have no idear as to a laptop. I am using a $25.00 yardsale laptop right now.
  13. Melt the #7 and make buck shot, I make that as well.ETA: thanks for the answer Caster. Looked for the mold and it is a bit high for me right now.
  14. Same advice, but I use a Lee key hole mold, 1oz, fits right in the wad and makes a mess of what ever it hits. I can get 6" groups out of a rifled sulg barrel on my mossy and Saiga 12, with the rifled choke at 100 yrds. I been thinking of getting one of those Lyman 525s, Caster, the handle on the bottom, controls the weight, is that right?

  18. I kinda of was thinking of a trip to the ER, good I was wrong. Looks nice, answer to TMF is what I am looking for as well.
  19. Wow, thanks for the 2nd pad finger tip!
  20. I know this is an old thread, thanks Caster. I have been casting my 12ga slugs and "00" buck for a bit. Cast 54 cal for my muzzle loader, gona cast 44 for the OL's 44-40 rifle(the mold you sold me, cast some today, worked great) Got a 451 round ball mold coming for Her 44 ball and cap. I use "gold neversiz" for flux in my lead, works well, well vented space is very good to have. The trick of cutting the weights apart is a good one I did not know, But there is a LOT I dont know.
  21. I was up that way the other day, brother lives in Sevierville. I go every chance I get. I dont dont like the beach eather, to HOT. Glad yall had a good time away from the job.
  22. I have voted this way for the past few times, yes they go south, FAST.I would still carry, keep it locked up in the car, IF I got fired, take them to court for 2nd Amnd rights infringment!
  23. OL and I saw 2 velvets the other day, nice looking racks too.
  24. I have "good" days and "bad" days. Dont know how or why, only class I have ever had was my HPC class. I enjoy shooting, but never know when it will be good or bad. I have started a day good and went bad, and bad to good.
  25. I have a Saiga that is stapmed for both(.308 and 7.62 x 61) ammo. It does put a case dent part way back, not to big a deal for me. It is good out to 300 yrds(have not had a chance to shoot further). I here the Veprs are good as well, dont know anything about it. My son has a CETME that is nice, shoots out 300 yrds very well, My S308 shoots brass better than steel ammo, my Sons CETME likes the steel cases better. I picked up a bunch of ammo, both steel and brass a few months back, so we are set for a bit.
