1. Thanks for shairing, good story, LEOs do work hard, we have one that lives at the end of the road, great guy, a farmer off duty, if there is such a time.
2. Um, ya got the GPS way point on the site? Good hunt, nice kills. A bit more info, did they run far? Stand or from a hide? How far of a shoot?
As I don't reload or shoot old (pre-1970) ammo.
Send it to me, I will dispose of it for ya.

9. For real guys?
10. My opinon is just that, mine. Opinons are like Aholes, everyboby has one and they stink. I wont put mine in your face, do what you want with yours. If I dont like your opinon I just move on. Mods have a tuff task, keeping things clean, somewhat firearm related. No harm no foul from my side of the fence.

840 open?

I used it last weekend, 70 all the way from 40 in Lebanon to 40 in Dickson.(100 miles, 1.5 to 1.75 hours.) Why go the long way, through Nashville is MUCH faster(60 miles, 55 mins), well jambs will slow you down, but you will use less gas.
12.
Why do they expire anyway? Why don't marriage licenses expire?
A woman wrote the law. Now dont start, I have been married 22 yrs to my OL, happy I am!!!

15.
But you also have to watch out for the guys with the "sleeved" barrels. Those guys can shoot the whole center out of the target.
The ones I have been to have a plug that has to drop through the barrel from breech to muzzle, keeps the cheating down.
16.
pretty sure to kill the 3 doeaday you will need the type 94,eaiser to make a call than pay a fine.also if the deer leaves your property you need a lic to pursue it onto other folks land.
That is the trouble I was posting about.
17. Ya got to understand about forum members, we try to look out for spam, not our job, just one of the things that happens. A lot feel like this is a home away from home, and want to just look out for it.
18. If you want to stay out of trouble, get a license. I wont disagree with you, I want to stay out of trouble. You can loose you firearm, car or truck, if the deer is found at your house, you could loose that as well. Game Warden has more power than a LOE when it comes to hunting laws. Get a license.
19. We have 8 dogs, all strays, My OL, God lover, cant say no, when we die I will be cleaning the pound She is running in Heaven. I grew up on a farm, we had cows and pigs(I hate pigs, cows OK) when the next door dogs start running the cows and the pigs we went to the owners and talked to them. 2 or 3 times till the dogs killed a calf, talking stoped and the rifle came out, 4 dogs in one day. All from the same family, after the first dog was put down we went to the owners and told them what we did, they were upset, they would not want to pay for the calf. The next 3 dogs put down were put in the ground by me on the farm, we did not go next door to tell the owners. All that said, killing a dog is a very hard thing to do, even when you HAVE to. This Man did not HAVE to!!!
20. That is great you got it running as well as you did, congrats. On the tube spring, try pulling it out a bit, pull the far end, the end away from the bolt. Just use your fingers to pull the coils out a bit, add about 1 to 2 inches to it.
21. I have had Redwings. good boot, would wear the sole out before the uppers. I have had just about every brand there is. I have worn nothing but boots for near 30 years, even to go out on dates and now with my OL to go out to eat. For the past 5 or 6 years I buy boot a wally world, cheap, 30 to 40 bucks. They last 1.5 to 2 years, all I do is replace laces. I work in kitchens repairing cooking gear. the grease, oil and chemicals used to clean eat the boots up. The boots I buy last as I said, and then I replace them. I spend 100 dollars every 2.5 to 3 years. Buy the 100 dollar boots If you want, I dont.
22.
i will have them
Cool. I will see you there.
23.
According to Lyman Reloading Handbook 49th Edition, Rifle Data for 45 Colt his load is max and gave 1100 fps out of their 16" Winchester. Hornady shows the following for their 45, 250gr XTP at 1100 fps: 100 yard zero +2.5" @ 25 yds +3.8" @ 50 yds +3.0" @ 75 yds 0" @ 100yds 25 yard zero 0 @ 25 yds -1.2" @ 50 yds -4.4" @ 75 yds -10" @ 100 yds You might simply suggest he sight in his rifle at 100 yards, looks like his load would rise no more than 4 inches above line of sight. I hope he has a successful hunt with his Henry!
+1 on the 100 yrd range sight in!
24. I have been doing some reading on castboolits and that is the way to help stablize the brass. Heat to 350 and let it air cool, do it 3 times, now go to 400 a few times. From what I have read the brass need to be hotter than iron or ALU to cast right. I will see come the weekend.
25. Hey David, Sam is getting me some 7mm rem mag brass and a few 7mm bullets, can ya bring them to the Hendersonville show?
