Is the 45 Colt a rifle or pistol? With a rifle you will need a crimp ring to keep the bullet from beind push into the case while in the tube mag, under recoil the bullet might get pushed back into the case. In a pistol it is not a worry. I use Titegroup for all my pistol loads, I call the 45 Colt a pistol load. On the Hodgdon site it says use 6.5 to 6.7 grans, depending on the type of bullet.

I read it twice, got me to thiking about where we are in this day and time. Here we are worried about our country and the direction it is going and things going in all over the world. We have bigger worries and most dont even see them, all they worry about the next check, phone, food stamp card. Our world is in a tuff place now and not a thing we can do about it. It would take many years to "fix" what is wrong unless something happens to bring us all togeather, to give us one cause to stand with each other.

Then no place I know of with in 1 hour of Nashville. I can shoot to about 175 at my place, but I have to get it set up. The shot would cross my drive way. 100 yrds is easy, side yard to the back. Well I am guessing there is not a Police range to shoot at for that range.

The 870 tact is just that, a defence shotgun The 870 hunting shotgun will be a better fit, can change barrels and add a extended mag tube. Sorry for the extra barrel, sell it to recoup the funds.
