Sad to say this form of government has out lived it self. "The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to complacency; From complacency to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage." The Obituary follows: Born 1776, Died 2012 It doesn't hurt to read this several times. Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election: Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29 Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 McCain: 2,427,000 Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million McCain: 143 million Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1 Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country. Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..." Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase. If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.

Had an interesting conversation with my mother this evening
RED333 replied to mav's topic in General Chat
  The rule in my parents house, no sleeping with the other sex less ya was married. Well after my parents went their ways, I was visiting my mom, she sat me down and told me about her boy friend. She told me he was sleeping on her house and they were not married, a few seconds of looking at each other, I grinned, she laughed and all was good. Parents are cool, just got to go by their rules in their house. -

FOX411: Why is “Duck Dynasty†so popular? Si: Well, I think it's going back to the pioneer days. We're reminding Americans what this country was founded on, Bible-toting, God-fearing men and women. http://www.foxnews.com/entertainment/2013/09/23/duck-dynasty-star-uncle-si-talks-iced-tea-marriage-troubles-and-god/

Barack Obama is political king of the fake Twitter followers, with more than 19.5 MILLION online fans who don't really exist Among influential U.S. political tweeters, President Barack Obama is the undisputed king of the fake followers. A MailOnline analysis ranks his sizable Twitter following as the most deceptive total among the 21 most influential accounts run by American politicians: More than 19.5 million of his 36.9 million Twitter followers are accounts that don't correspond to real people. The four phoniest accounts in the sample, which included Democratic and Republican Party leaders in Washington, D.C., were those belonging to President Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, first lady Michelle Obama and the White House communications shop. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2430875/Barack-Obama-19-5m-fake-Twitter-followers.html I almost feel sorry for him, NOT!!!

Death match: Eagle takes down deer A seemingly unlikely battle between a golden eagle and a baby deer was photographed by a camera trap set up to capture poachers seeking Russia’s endangered tigers. The three images captured by the camera cover a 2-second period, and show an adult golden eagle clinging to the deer's back. Its carcass was found two weeks later, just a few yards from the camera, initially puzzling researchers. http://www.foxnews.com/science/2013/09/24/death-match-eagle-takes-down-deer/?intcmp=features Keep ya eye on your dogs and cats.

In the little place I live it is against local ordnance to shoot a projectile. BB, air soft, arrow, bullet, it has been that way for years, inside city limit's. Now you can hunt, it is OK, inside city limit's. Years ago we were going to have a bow shoot at a Scout event and was told we could not.

That is not a blank, it is a "shot" loaded round, for snakes at long range, thus the scope angle.

I tip a dollar for every 5 on the bill, or double the tax, ether way it works out. If I get fair to good service, the above applies, bad service I leave a dollar.
