I just picked up a set of Lee dies. Ya think the once fired might work better, now that they are pressure formed to your barrel?

Not really, diff twist rate, barrel length, and chamber size all have an effect on things.

As David said, look close at the bottom of the bullet. It has to be square to the sides. Work up you load, start lite and work to hot, see if you find the sweet spot.
