Wood stove yes, fireplace takes a LOT of wood to start to heat the house. With a fireplace you have to get the whole thing hot before it will start to put heat off. Yes some heat will be there at first, but most is going of the flue. Can you start a fire with out help, ie, matches, lighter? Go to a welding supply house, buy a torch striker, it has flint and steel. Save dryer lint, great starter.   You need to learn to get by with out power, if you have a well, get the water out with out power. Get you a well bucket that will fit you casing and enough swing chain to reach the water plus 50 feet.   Dig a hole to put your waste in, take a leak in the yard, if you live with neighbors close, do you thing at night. Women folk have a big problem with this, you will be in trouble trying to get them to do their thing out side.   Learn to cook on a wood stove, open fire, #10 can with charcoal, waded up paper. If you are going to try and keep enough store bought fuel you will run out.   Gensets are nice to have, but you will run out of fuel.   When super storm Sandy hit NY them poor SOBs where up the creek in one day. You have to prep for the worst and pray it does not happen.   If you stock up on freeze dried food think about the water it takes to eat. Store bought caned food, ie, corn, green beans and others have water in them.   Now there is a start, anyone else?

Had to get out the get chicken feed, we use Edwards in Lebanon. Central Pk is passable with patches of ice and slush. Mt Juliet Rd is clear with very few patches of slush, I 40 to Lebanon is clear in the right lanes, slush in the left shoulder. Patches of ice on the road UNDER overpass bridges, watch out. Central PK, dadburn stopped working. It is the bridge over the tail waters from the dam, It has a good bump on both sides, people slow down and the the inch worm effect kicks in. Then there is the ramp to 440, do not get me started. Timing is everything, get there before 6:45 AM and it is clear sailing.

Good luck with parking, pay or walk for close to a mile or more. I am not kidding, Gaylord is bad for parking.

I have thought a lot about this as well, I sometimes have to go into bad areas. As much as I have thought as to what I would do I still do not know. I do keep my head on a swivel, drive around the building once to look for trouble and act on what I see. I have called the customer when I see what I think does not look right and let them know what is going on. It is a scary world, punks or thugs (what you call them) are my fear, some being so young and the group so large there is no way to tell what might happen. My advice, look close, drive around and look for "trouble". I wont get out of the car if I see more than 2 or 3 in a group. Leave the area as fast as you can, call me a scared y cat, I dont care, I want to wake up on this side of the grass.

I have to take the test random and if I get hurt on the job to keep works comp. I am offended and my rights are taken away from me, do I have a leg to stand on, NO!!! So why do teet suckers get a free pass???

My take is you can have the stuff unmixed. If you mix it you can not carry it in you car to another location. I am sure I missed something, reading laws the way laws are writ is for the birds.
