The BRITs came to Concord to take arms from the patriots. Arms included the Canon the powder and the lead shot. The BRITs knew that without powder or lead shot a personal firearm became a club. The reason for the Canon is obvious. They also went to the ports to get the ships that had Canon on them.

I say you need a gun smith, welding will mess with heat treat of the bolt. If the break happened out on the handle I would try a weld, I could use a heat sink to keep the bolt cool.
-
Just how close to the body of the bolt did the handle break off, post a pic.

I have not seen this yet in the news yet https://fox17.com/news/local/man-arrested-after-getting-shot-while-trying-to-rob-someone-at-opry-mills NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A man was arrested after he got shot by a person he tried to rob at gunpoint Wednesday night in the parking lot of Opry Mills. According to Metro Police, the suspect approached a victim in the parking lot of the mall at around 7:30 p.m. June 17. The male suspect pulled out a revolver and demanded belongings from the victim. The victim then pulled out their own gun and the two exchanged gunfire. The suspect was hit in the knee and fled on foot. The victim was not injured. Police found the suspect not long later in front a nearby hotel and he was taken into custody. The suspect was identified by the victim before being taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Police said multiple witnesses and security camera footage verified what happened.

At work I have to travel into the city on a daily bases. How I would handle this is stay put in my work van call 911, if things go south I will leave the van and run as fast as I can from the danger. No way would I wait for the mob to get to me. After work I never travel into the city. However if I have to go through the city to get some where, I am watching the news, the map apps looking for any sign of trouble. My Mom and Dad live on the other side of the city from where I live, most trips involve 840. I have a friend that is a local LEO, also a neighbor that is a county depute, both will give me info on what is going on.

https://www.tn.gov/attorneygeneral/news/2020/6/5/pr20-23.html Statement from AG Slatery Following Absentee Voting Decision Friday, June 05, 2020 | 09:12am Nashville- This evening Davidson County Chancellor Ellen Hobbs Lyle ordered state government to abandon long standing requirements for in person voting. Tennessee, like all states, must engage in a delicate balancing act: it must safeguard voters from COVID-19 exposure while ensuring that voters are not disenfranchised. Tennessee’s election officials consulted with experts from the Tennessee Department of Health and county health departments to create a comprehensive COVID-19 election plan that conforms to the CDC’s guidance and makes Tennessee’s polling places safer than the general community. The Court’s ruling, while rightly taking into account the safety of Tennessee’s voters and poll workers, failed to appropriately consider the extensive safety measures of the COVID-19 election plan, and, more importantly, gave little weight to the unanimous expertise of state and county election officials that hastily expanding absentee voting is impracticable and risks disenfranchising Tennessee voters. The Court’s order has taken this important decision away from Tennessee’s state and county election experts and unnecessarily risks voter confusion, potential voter fraud, and election disruption. “It is yet another court decision replacing legislation passed by the people’s elected officials with its own judgment, largely ignoring the practicalities of implementing such a decision, and doing so in the midst of a pandemic and budget crisis,” said Herbert H. Slatery III. ### Press Release #20-23: Statement from AG Slatery Following Absentee Voting Decision
