  1. itchy, where are you from? i'm assuming the nashville area if you are interested nex sat morning is the orsa monthly idpa match, you are more than welcome to meet me at baxter exit 280 at 7am and ride up with me. they run seven good stages that are relatively simple for new inexperienced shooters.
  2. Ive never really done that in a class type setting, but I have helped lots of new shooters in the past. Ive been shooting IDPA since 09, and if you ever come out to Gallatin Gun Club or Oak Ridge Sportsmans Association I would be more than happy to squad with you and answer any question you have and give you any tips I can think of. Of course nobody can say their way is the best way because theres a million ways to skin a cat, and the cat doesnt like any of them lol
  3. Gonna be a great match, Cant wait for this one
  4. its one of my favorites. im going to ga state this year as well. been wanting to shoot that for a long time
  5. Only about 4 more weeks away. How many other TGOers will be there besides me?
  6. Pics and range report are mandatory
  7. Yeah they aren't cheap at all, it will be mine. Oh yes it will be mine lol. If I didnt shoot competitions so much I wouldn't even consider one
  8. STI uses a polymer grip design which keeps the grip angle at 17 degrees just like a traditional 1911. And they are very similar in circumference as well. I'm not sure exactly of the difference in size but its very minimal
  9. Hey guys let's compromise. STI Eagle 2011. Everything a 1911 has to offer in a 2011 platform with 19rds of 9mm. Yes that will be my next handgun purchase. But in 40S&W though since I can still shoot it in major PF in USPSA. There's no reason not to have the best of both worlds :)
  10. STI. Can't go wrong. The Trojan for the price is one of the best 1911s you'll get your hands on
  11. I ain't going out to the desert to wait for a secret package for 24hrs though lol.
  12. Lol if this also includes getting to shoot from time to time, I'm in
  13. That's pretty normal for an out of the box holster. It can scuff the finish on your slide and cause a little holster wear if its bad enough. You should be able to see where its dragging and take a file to the inside to relieve a little material in the area making contact. Also try loosening the retention screws a little and see if that helps. If you decide that you don't like that holster, for my money Master Tac makes the best kydex holster out there right now. Just my opinion though.
  14. I never go anywhere without my fishin vest. Looking forward to that ORSA major. Great range and a great group to shoot with
  15. Scores are posted up on IDPA website and wyomingantelopeclub.com
  16. Not yet, I'm anxiously waiting to see the full results as well. I didn't get to stay for the awards but Rickey grabbed my plaque and told me my score.
  17. Biggest sandbagger award goes to me lol. Got my match bump I've been waiting for, now let's see if I can make CDP EX by the end of the year.
